Night watch. What would you enjoy most, late night watch (10-2) or early morning watch (2-6)?

Lee Cloth: A device that keeps you in your bunk while the boat is heeling (leaning to one side).

Sailing is about enjoying the journey. Slow down, unwind, relax and unplug. We had a beautiful night with a gentle breeze. Would you do a 1000 mile trip at 6 knots?

@Michael_Eugene_ Yes, This year we have it for the first time. mixed feelings. I kind of like being unplugged from the world.

Bahamas to Chesapeake day 2: After a dicey night, of big seas and heavy winds (and a few sick crewmember) we were rewarded with clear skies and gentle rolling waves. Bluewater sailing at its best!

Bahamas to Chesapeake, day 1: heading out through a cut in the reef. Gonna miss the beautiful color of the water on the Bahamian bank.

Last sail in the sea of Abaco for a while.

Crew is all set to head offshore for the week.

Time to sail back to the Chesapeake from the Bahamas. The back side of this high pressure should give is some favorable winds. We'll try to update daily on this week long passage.

The water is so clear it looks like it is only a few inches deep, but it's about 15' (4.5m). I love looking at the seabed while sailing.

@TSailingAcademy When you do a backwood roll, one hand should be on your mask to stop it dislodging!

Question: Why do divers (snorkel and scuba) fall backwards into the water? Answer: Because if they fell forwards, they would still be in the boat!
