I'm thinking about trying out @statamic to see if I have any use cases for it. What's the best way to install it? Should I create a new Laravel app and install it there, or use the Statamic CLI?

How I Balance My 9-5 Job with a 5-9 Indie Hacker Hustle Let’s be real! Balancing a full-time job with a side project isn’t easy. But if you’re passionate about your indie hacker hustle, it’s totally doable with some planning and a bit of self-care. Here’s what’s worked for me: 1. Get Clear on What Matters I had to figure out what I really wanted from both my day job and side hustle. Once I knew my long-term goals, I started breaking them down into bite-sized tasks. That way, every day I could make some progress, even with limited time. 2. Structure Your Time Like a Pro With a 9-5 job, time in the evenings and weekends is precious. I block out chunks of time for focused work - no distractions. Sometimes I use the Pomodoro technique (work 25 minutes, break 5) to stay on track. It’s been a game changer for getting stuff done without feeling overwhelmed. 3. Don’t Forget to Breathe Burnout is real, and I’ve definitely felt it creeping in when I try to go non-stop. Now, I make it a priority to take breaks. That could mean going for a walk, watching a show, or just chilling with a book. It’s essential to recharge, so I don’t lose steam. 4. Leverage the Day Job Honestly, I’ve found ways to use my 9-5 to help my indie projects. Whether it’s picking up new skills or finding inspiration from what I’m doing at work, there’s always overlap. Plus, you never know when connections from your day job might help your side gig grow. 5. Keep Yourself in Check One of the hardest parts of a side hustle is staying motivated. I started setting weekly goals to keep myself on track, and I check in regularly to see how I’m doing. Being part of a community (like the Tech Founders) also helps a ton for accountability. 6. Know When It’s Time to Level Up If your side project starts taking off, there might come a moment when you’ll need to decide how to balance things long-term. I haven’t reached that point yet, but I know it’s important to be ready for it - whether that means scaling back on the day job or going all-in on the side hustle. At the end of the day, balancing a 9-5 with a 5-9 indie hacker project is all about finding a rhythm that works for you. It’s not always easy, but with the right mindset and a solid routine, you can build something amazing without burning out. Keep building ⚡️

@PovilasKorop WordPress was initially intended as blog software and then grew into something bigger. The others are all designed as CMS software that also have blog functionality.

A simple blog, you're saying? In WordPress, a blog is "Posts", installed by default. In Statamic, a blog is a Collection you need to create/configure. In Winter CMS, a blog is a plugin you need to composer require. In Twill, a blog is a Module you need to create yourself.

Elon Musk is the Chief Engineer at @SpaceX in title and reality. I realize this is a hard suppository to swallow for all the jealous haters out there who couldn't engineer their way out of a wet paper bag but it's a well-documented fact. Here is what people who actually know what they're talking about have to say: Kevin Watson “Elon is brilliant. He’s involved in just about everything. He understands everything. If he asks you a question, you learn very quickly not to go give him a gut reaction. He wants answers that get down to the fundamental laws of physics. One thing he understands really well is the physics of the rockets. He understands that like nobody else. The stuff I have seen him do in his head is crazy. He can get in discussions about flying a satellite and whether we can make the right orbit and deliver Dragon at the same time and solve all these equations in real time. It’s amazing to watch the amount of knowledge he has accumulated over the years.” Garrett Reisman “What's really remarkable to me is the breadth of his knowledge. I mean I've met a lot of super super smart people but they're usually super super smart on one thing and he's able to have conversations with our top engineers about the software, and the most arcane aspects of that and then he'll turn to our manufacturing engineers and have discussions about some really esoteric welding process for some crazy alloy and he'll just go back and forth and his ability to do that across the different technologies that go into rockets cars and everything else he does.” “He’s obviously skilled at all those different functions, but certainly what really drives him and where his passion really is, is his role as CTO. Basically his role as chief designer and chief engineer. That’s the part of the job that really plays to his strengths.” Josh Boehm “Elon is both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SpaceX, so of course he does more than just ‘some very technical work’. He is integrally involved in the actual design and engineering of the rocket, and at least touches every other aspect of the business. Elon is an engineer at heart, and that’s where and how he works best.” Robert Zubrin “When I met Elon it was apparent to me that although he had a scientific mind and he understood scientific principles, he did not know anything about rockets. Nothing. That was in 2001. By 2007 he knew everything about rockets - he really knew everything, in detail. You have to put some serious study in to know as much about rockets as he knows now. This doesn't come just from hanging out with people.”

Gonna have to quickly level up with React and Next.js to have, at least, a basic understanding of the stack. What cool resources can you people recommend?
