60 Christians were killed in an attack in the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. They were murdered by Muslims for the crime of refusing to convert to Islam. Where's Pope Leo on this and the "religion of peace" that we should be less fearful of?

@Alfredovich65 @finntrasan Forgive me, I ought to have specified. Are there any rebuttals to his claim that the death and resurrection of Jesus possessed little to no significance until the 2nd century?

@AlmahdiWesam An exegetical question, in your opinion to whom is Jesus speaking in Surah 61:6? Solely his disciples, or the Children of Israel generally?

This is how mentally rotten some Muslims have become. Just look at this orientalist garbage they're eating. Comparing Al Duha to psalms and because of thematic overlap (which you can find between ANY two texts) saying the Quran makes Psalms central to the meccan surahs??
al-ʿUkbarī@alUkbari

The more Qur’anic scholarship I read, the more convinced I am that two groups are wrong: A) non-Muslims who say the Qur’an shows no knowledge of earlier scriptures B) Muslims who say the earlier scriptures are just forgeries Even the earliest Meccan surahs are shaped by biblical/Psalmic topoi as well as Psalmic language. Surah 93 (al-Ḍuḥā) is a clear example.

@AlmahdiWesam If I may ask, what is your opinion of Libyanos argument regarding the Son of Man? Does it have merit in your view?

Your reminder that the corrupt filthy Torah of today absolutely condones everything being done to innocents. It even condones sacrificing of children in the fire. It would not shock me one bit if the strike on the girls school and volleyball team was for baal or molech or ashura.

@MuslimAcademic In your academic opinion, would you describe this as a good argument? It seems a little dubious to me.

@servusChristi_1 @nasafism Where’s the dishonesty though? Historians say Jesus was crucified because people back then believed it, so they think it’s natural to accept that. There’s no archaeological evidence or photo, so I don’t see the issue. And how does that make Allah a liar? Also, we don’t have to

The man in the picture is Ibrahim (or Ebrahim) Richmond, a former pastor who led the Corinthian Church in South Africa. In 2023 he publicly converted to Islam along with tens of thousands of his followers and performed Hajj in Mecca as an invited guest of the Saudi government. The side-by-side photos show him pre- and post-conversion.

This man was never a Christian. "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us." —1 John 2:19
