The more Qur’anic scholarship I read, the more convinced I am that two groups are wrong: A) non-Muslims who say the Qur’an shows no knowledge of earlier scriptures B) Muslims who say the earlier scriptures are just forgeries Even the earliest Meccan surahs are shaped by biblical/Psalmic topoi as well as Psalmic language. Surah 93 (al-Ḍuḥā) is a clear example.
