It's totally okay to worry about - and guard against - humans ending up like the ones in Wall-E. But Wall-E is a work of speculative fiction, not a documentary. And every major technology has been met with fear and resistance, and many have been declared existential threats to what makes us human. Luddites are almost always wrong (I would submit they have *always* been wrong so far, but there's room for debate there). When someone says "no no, this technology is different!" we should all be deeply skeptical of that view.

Depressing to come on here & see pro writers/journalists talk about using AI to "streamline" the process of writing. Really shows how many players have no love for the game. The process is the whole point! Trying to figure it out, & then figuring it out, is why you write!

Thank you! Aside from your (accurate) point about the rules, I've heard people complain about the same things about the NBA for 20 years now. The complaints never change: 1) Never call traveling 2) Never play defense 3) Too much 1 on 1 play Usually, from people who don't actually watch.

Once again, people are complaining about rules they don't know in the game of basketball. Look, I know NBA ratings and stuff are down. But the complaints about the game have crazy old uncle vibes. The rules have changed since people played in High School in the 1980s. Also, TBH, the level of play and athletic ability we see nightly in the NBA is greater than it's EVER been. Full stop. We are just desensitized to how good they are.
