#IDTwitter #IDXposts A 80-years old gentleman was admitted for AKI requiring hemodialysis. On admission ceftriaxone was started because of elevated WBC (24) and lung crackles on the left. There was no fever and CRP was normal. On 2nd day of hospitalization his CRP rose to 150 👇

@LpeixeLuisa Sandoz recalled all Dicillin and have now apparently made the decision to cease production withdraw Dicillin from the market permenantly. As far as I can gather the product from Sandoz was only marketed in Denmark and Iceland. (Paywalled and in Danish). medwatch.dk/samfund/articl…

@SundermannAJ Yes. And it gets worse. The unique plasmids we identified in the capsule isolates, have been found in several clinical isolates of other Enterobacterales species such as E. coli and Klebsiella spp. ssi.dk/sygdomme-bered… (in Danish)
