@ScottChoppin @JulieChangRE Senior special inspector, here. I was just inspecting it, there is no clear vision weather or not the w-flange beam is welded to an embed plate. But yes usually the faceplates are filled with a dry-pack (NS grout) The video alone isn’t enough.

It is poor quality work, but easily fixable. I would get a structural engineering to inspect and recommend a fix. It will be some type of welding operation, to weld shims at base of that beam in the beam pocket. Beam looks good, concrete in beam pocket looks clean. Just need to marry the two up structurally. Should take a few days max.

On a scale of no big deal to I would not be in that house How bad is this The inspector in comments says that the beam is NOT imbedded in the concrete walls - he can put his fingers behind it at the wall
