Permanently Ban Seabed Mining in New Zealand Waters! Sign this petition.
Until there is a full ban on seabed mining in Aotearoa/NZ this will keep coming back to haunt those who protect our sea creatures like KASM who have fought so hard for so very long. maoriparty.org.nz/permanently_ba…

We wanted and badly needed a simple and affordable #BrynderwynsBypass, but now we may get a #TripleToll instead.
National's has just announced plans to "heavily toll" Northland.
Cars would pay $14.20 (and trucks $28.40) for each return trip between Auckland and *Te Hana*. And beyond Te Hana, to Marsden Point?
Well, National's considering a 3rd toll on that potential Te Hana to Marsden Point section.
Why weren't we told this up front? Why wasn't it in the calculations of costs to Northlanders? And why are we just hearing about a #TripleToll just now?
Remember, you can make your feelings known about a triple toll. Email your MP. And make an *online submission*.
I've put the link in the comments below.
But act quick. They've only given us until April 15th.

CYCLONE VAIANU ⚠️🌀🚨
Cyclone Vaianu is likely to move across the North Island on Sunday, 12 April.
If it does, it will bring damaging, potentially life-threatening winds. However, uncertainty remains in the cyclone's exact track, so the locations of the most severe winds are not yet certain. As confidence in the track increases, parts of this Watch will be upgraded to Orange or possibly Red Warnings. 🟠🔴
Vaianu will also bring heavy rain, with Heavy Rain Watches and/or Warnings likely to be issued on Thursday for some areas. High chance of upgrading to a Warning.

This is the last report from journalist Fatima Ftouni before she was murdered by Israel.
She was covering Israel’s invasion of Southern Lebanon.
Israel has now killed over 280 journalists, which is 4 times more than the 70 journalists killed in both World Wars.
“You only target journalists when your enemy is the truth.”

Let’s be clear.
Public servants are not the Government.
And they are certainly not elected.
They do not hold a mandate to make sweeping decisions that impact iwi, reo Māori, and decades of Treaty-based progress — especially decisions of this scale and consequence.
So where is the Cabinet paper?
Where is the public record showing Ministers signed off on a move that could effectively wipe out an estimated third of iwi Māori radio stations?
Because if it doesn’t exist — or hasn’t been made transparent — then serious questions need to be asked.
Māori broadcasting was never a “nice to have.” It was fought for, secured through Treaty claims, and built as part of the Crown’s obligation to actively protect te reo Māori.
Those gains are not optional. They are not expendable. And they are not for unelected officials to quietly dismantle.
Where is the mandate to overturn one of this nation’s most tapu and historic settled claims?
Because that’s what this looks like.
This isn’t just about radio.
It’s about accountability.
It’s about Te Tiriti.
And it’s about whether decisions that affect Māori are being made with Māori — or done to Māori.
If a line hasn’t already been crossed — we’re standing right on it.
