We are aligned on a clear roadmap to position Thiruvananthapuram as one of India’s leading maritime cities. This is central to our mission of #VikasitaThiruvananthapuram and #VikasitaKeralam and we are working relentlessly to turn this vision into reality.

We delivered ✅ I promised a roadmap for developing Thiruvananthapuram as one of the best cities in India in the next 5 years - to be delivered within the first 45 days of the BJP/NDA coming to power in the Corporation. And we have delivered on that promise ahead of time! Happy to have worked closely with Mayor Shri VV Rajesh and Deputy Mayor Smt. Wrote to Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw ji regarding the inexplicable omission of Thiruvananthapuram from the @RailMinIndia list of 48 cities slated for infrastructure upgrades & capacity doubling under Vision 2030. ​To exclude a State Capital and a Divisional HQ from such a critical initiative is a baffling administrative oversight. Given the operational load on TVC and the need to develop Nemom & Kochuveli, this anomaly requires immediate rectification.

@PRajeevOfficial Dear Minister, The Port‘s name also should be changed to International Standards by Making it under the brand of Trivandrum the capital city & it should be Trivandrum International Seaport which will enable everyone to pronounce it without any issues,this is the biggest demand.

The new location code IN TRV 01 for Vizhinjam International Sea Port not only aligns with international standards but also reflects the identity of Thiruvananthapuram. This change fulfills the recent demand from many natives to have the district name integrated into the code. By adopting the globally recognized TRV abbreviation, Vizhinjam enhances Thiruvananthapuram’s global presence and is set to transform Kerala’s industrial sector.
