Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

Knowing @DanPatrick is voting for @mayes_middleton is all I need to hear to convince me to vote for @chiproytx.
Dan Patrick@DanPatrick

Why I’m voting for @mayes_middleton: 1. Mayes Middleton is one of the most conservative members in Texas Senate history—a proven, unapologetic MAGA conservative who fights and wins. 2. Mayes Middleton will work hand-in-hand with the Governor, the Legislature, the Department of Justice, and President Trump to make the Texas Attorney General’s office the strongest in the nation—relentlessly defending our laws and our Constitution.

@ScottPresler Absolutely not. Endorsing a corrupt politician makes him no less corrupt, and such an endorsement should disqualify the endorser from having the trust of constituents.

President Trump is the leader of the Republican Party. His influence is enormous, which was evident in the Indiana State Senate elections. Question for Texans: If Trump made an endorsement that was NOT for Ken Paxton, would you still vote for Ken Paxton on Tuesday, May 26th?

@JaredLPatterson coming in hot with that fire. Love it. Enough is enough - the adults in the room have to push back on the out of control children that make up the Texas GOP leadership.
Rep. Jared Patterson@JaredLPatterson

I love it when they eat their own. What? You’re surprised the guy who pulled a gun on his own family isn’t living up to your standards? What a joke. Abraham George knew, or should have known, the SREC has as much say over Texas election law as the local rotary club. He only used it as a way to rile up his low-IQ base with a feeling of importance they’ve never experienced in life up to that point. But don’t get it twisted. The White House didn’t step in to save me. They stepped in to save George, et al. I would have bankrupted the corrupt Denton County Chair, State Chair George, and others who hoped to subvert the constitution and laws of this state. Trust me, I wanted that fight. And George knew it. But keep whining from the sandbox. The truth is, the state party chair hasn’t mattered in years. And he or she won’t matter until folks tune out the rage machine and elect someone who - now get this - WASN’T JUST REJECTED BY REPUBLICAN PRIMARY VOTERS. What a concept. And while I’m giving suggestions, how about we run background checks and force folks like Horton and Bentley (and others) to resign due to criminal history? Folks like them, who are otherwise unemployable, are supposed to be “leaders” I should care about? While the Democrats have recruited opponents for every Republican legislator, are fundraising at a record pace, and are focused on November, you’re twisting off on something that no one cares about and doesn’t matter to the people of Texas. Do you feel relevant yet?

I’ll always believe that the first Trump Administration was conservative. But in this Administration there are enormous departures: ⚪️ Trade policy ⚪️ Reluctance to defend life ⚪️ Price controls ⚪️ Credit card caps ⚪️ Telling people who can and cannot buy a home ⚪️ Nationalization of companies That’s not conservative or free market

I know almost nothing about @mayes_middleton But the fact that he’s accusing @chiproytx of George Soros sympathies—based on a vote Chip cast in defense of federalism—tells me everything I need to know about him Mayes is either dishonest or doesn’t understand federalism
Mayes Middleton@mayes_middleton

This is a perfect example of why conservatives can’t trust Chip Roy.  When you are aligned with groups funded by George Soros, it’s clear you have lost your way. As AG, I’ll investigate George Soros for the crimes I believe he has committed.

@Captaingpa and so many more attempts to limit personal liberty. He has worked across the aisle to get things done. Bipartisanship isn't a sin, it's governing.

@Captaingpa Disrespecting you? By laughing at how you ended your last tweet? Laws Cornyn helped pass: JASTA, PROTECT Our Children Act, Secure 5g and Beyond Act, the Laken Riley Act, and more. Opposed numerous attempts to limit 2A, attempts to limit mandatory minimums for violent offenders

Ben Sasse is uniquely extraordinary…but if you watch that interview and wish we had more civically serious leaders like him, please understand that’s a choice. Voters can demand it.

Republicans no longer have the advantage on the economy because they’ve decided to copy Democrat policies on credit card caps, trade policy, nationalizing, private sector, companies, and dictating who’s allowed to buy homes.

@Captaingpa You can respond all you want, but you are trying to get away from the original discussion without answering or acknowledging the topic. Trying to "change horses midstream," as they say.

@Captaingpa Who was talking about gerrymandering? This discussion is about Cornyn and a bill/law he fought in the Senate. Has nothing to do about gerrymandering.
