So…I’m really struggling with my emotions lately as reality settles in for me. My cancer is back. Time to battle again. 🤺 Hopefully, it’s only in the area showing on the CT scan, but my brain mri tomorrow and petscan next week will determine if metastasized further. If it’s contained then it looks like radiation therapy will be my best option. Hug your loved ones a little tighter and enjoy the heck out of life while you have the health to do so. Literally, health is wealth. 🤍

So the deeper issue is not simply “who is to blame.” It is whether we still understand that in this system no one is fully in control—and that is a feature, not a bug. Where do you see the real constraint operating most clearly right now: the rules, the conference incentives, the primary electorate, or the presidential pressure? As a veteran myself, this matters. We were trained that concentrated power without process is dangerous. The same principle applies here. Forcing outcomes by destroying the constraints that protect minority rights and state interests carries long-term costs, even when the short-term goal is correct. The question is not only whether the SAVE America Act should pass. It is whether we are willing to weaken the very architecture that limits power when we hold it.

It's time for Chief's evening invective! The Senate is controlled by a Republican majority. The President is pushing hard for the SAVE America Act. Yet the bill sits. This is not simply “Thune blocking Trump” or “Republicans refusing to fight.” Like it or not, this is a live demonstration of how power is actually distributed in the system the way the Founders designed it (slow, resistant to change). But who or what is really controlling the outcome?

When is X going to take the lists abuse and harassment seriously? I don’t like being placed on a list called child f*cker or ped*phile. This whole dudes profile is nothing but severe abuse and calling Trump supporters all these names. This is targeted harassment and the lists have been severely abused. I have blocked him but there are more people who add me to lists everyday. Do something to fix this please.

Here is Chief's Sunday evening harangue!! I keep noticing the same damn pattern. We no longer argue only about what the rules should be. We argue about whether standards, definitions, and processes should apply equally — or whether they should flex depending on the people and outcomes involved. When language becomes unstable, when institutions apply different thresholds to different groups, and when process is treated as optional whenever it becomes inconvenient, the system begins to erode. It rarely collapses in one dramatic moment. It weakens through a thousand exceptions. A constitutional republic requires more than elections and written laws. It requires a shared commitment to consistent standards, honest definitions, and the principle that power itself must be constrained. Without that cultural commitment, formal protections become selective and trust collapses. From a veteran’s perspective, this is not theoretical. We were trained that the system only works when the same standards bind everyone, including those in authority. Selective enforcement, shifting definitions, and outcome-driven exceptions are not signs of progress. They are signs of institutional decay. The deeper question is whether we still believe the same rules, the same definitions, and the same processes should apply to the people we support and the people we oppose. I feel you there! At one time we had two 16 yr olds, one 15 yr old, one 13 yr old, and one 11 yr old all under our roof. It was madness! Every time we went anywhere, out to eat, movies, etc., it involved a full blown MDMP and 5 paragraph OPORD! Military Decision Making Process Operations Order
