The progressive centre has something simple on its side: often the best story, arguments, & policies for the most number of people. Yet, in the UK and abroad, progressives/centrists are dreadful at making an argument. Left/centrist politics needs to be regrounded in philosophy.

Just cast my postal vote for @SadiqKhan to continue as @MayorofLondon. The Greens & LDs are fielding excellent candidates this year, but with the change in voting system we need SK to field off the far right challenge. #LondonIsOpen & that's his legacy, he should keep it alive.

I've never understood this logic. If Republican voters want to give Trump another chance, they'll vote for him with or without DeSantis's support. If anything, RDS's backers actively didn't want Trump. Political debate, challenge, and disagreement are central to democracy...

VAR is the perfect example of a Catch-22. Officials expect tech to cover mistakes so "don't" make a decision. VAR rules say 50-50s essentially stay with the on field decision. Result - majority of 50-50s end up with the wrong outcome. Literally determines who wins the title.
