@Taavitheman

Who's doing the talking is irrelevant. What's being talked about is everything that matters.

@AdrikinsQAQ Amazing the work that aleksib and blade are doing with these kinds of individuals. Shouldn't even be playing finals with these pieces.

@kassad Falcons got the worst superstars for playing as a TEAM while Vitality got the best. That's the difference right there.

Vitality: 14 event wins (2 majors) in ~18 months after ropz joined on a free transfer. Falcons: 0 event wins since signing monesy, Niko, kyousuke (1 with Niko only). Falcons spent 5M on the three signings alone.

@Navi_B1ad3 @TeamVitality You are already pulling 100% out of this engine. Hopefully the org will allow you to replace some parts in the next rostermania or we will be seeing more of these scenes. Respect for making it so competitive though. Two close maps is very good result in context.

Close, but not enough. This is where growth happens. We learn, we adjust, we come back stronger. Respect to @TeamVitality the bar is very high right now.

@DaveShapi As far as I understand, replacement hiring is the first one to go (already happening). But China will probably keep leading the way in enacting policies to pre-empt any civil unrest.

China just set a legal precedent: companies can't fire workers and replace them with AI just to cut costs. A Hangzhou court ruled AI adoption is a voluntary business choice: not a "major change in objective circumstances." Translation: eat your own costs. Not binding nationwide. But "typical case" status means every lower court takes the hint and adopts this posture Why does this matter? Beijing isn't stupid. Mass automation layoffs = revolution risk. The Luddites rioted over looms. Imagine 800 million workers vs. GPT-7. The macro logic is brutal: 1) Fire workers fast → consumer spending collapses 2) Aggregate demand drops → tax revenue dies 3) Payroll and income tax fund the state Every government is still labor-dependent. Automation isn't seen as a macro threat yet. Keyword: yet The EU will probably follow. The US absolutely won't (except where unions force the issue) China is signaling that automation is a privilege, not a right. The West is signaling the opposite. When unemployment cracks double digits and consumer confidence collapses, guess which model survives the riots.

JUST IN: 🇨🇳 Chinese court rules companies cannot legally fire employees simply to replace them with cost-saving artificial intelligence.

@DaveShapi Basically the middle class needs to rise up before violence can be automated en masse or we are screwed.

Permanent underclass. Useless class. Useless eaters. Redundant biomass. It’s time we have a frank conversation about techno-feudalism and the dark trajectory we’re on.

Well it looks like my YouTube channel has been permanently demonetized for the dumbest reasons possible (I neglected my other channels, which were dropped from YPP and that apparent gets you blacklisted). So I'll be spending a lot more time here, and on Substack.

@P_Kallioniemi Russian geography itself is utterly incompatible with a democratic system. No leader is going to change that.

These are Soviet and Russian leaders and their achievements since 1917. What are the chances that, without decolonization and major reforms, the country will have a democratic and benevolent leader after Putin?

@SuomiFella Great, now we can suspend payments for those arms and rethink how we should fight if invaded by Russia. Also time to shore up our own independent arms industry. Ukraine giving us some pro tips in that department right now.

@cdtwriter When AI gets capable enough, there will be a violent uprising to redistribute. The current system is selecting for absolute psychopaths at the top who will give us jack shit voluntarily and doesn't even view the rest of us as humans.

Political anger is rising about AI. Most people are pessimistic, which means we have an opportunity. There will be increasing resistance to AI, largely driven by financial and economic concerns. That means the Labor/Zero movement and Post-Labor Economics will be a project to build for years to come, with many frank conversations required. But talk is not enough. We need to hear out people and their concerns, but what will really move the needle is action and change. And I don't mean data center moratoriums or heavy-handed regulation. We need powerful, viable paths to shared prosperity for all, such as PLE, such as broadly distributed capital gains, and sovereign wealth dividends. The geopolitical and economic incentives are crystal clear; the US and China are full steam ahead on AI. And the capitalist market is also aligned to this outcome. That means that acceleration is the default policy, which means that friction and resistance will be the populist backlash. That friction is good, though. It means that Post-Labor Economics will get its time in the sun. It means that people will take this conversation seriously as we look for solutions. We must welcome debate, criticism, and anger. Not to the exclusion of decorum and progress. But we must let people know that Post-Labor Economics exists to serve them, not the vested interests of the wealthy elite. The goal of PLE is to reduce friction by coming up with generative solutions, aligning incentives, and creating a path towards high prosperity for all.

@Mauisnake Smart move as it's obvious Faze as an org are done at top tier Counter-Strike. Maybe Niko has finally learned his lesson and is willing to buy into karrigan no less than 100%. The rest of the team will follow after that.

This is karrigan's chance to gain ground in the GOAT IGL rankings. Great roster for him to bring his looser, player-driven style. Working alongside NiKo again is perfect to keep NiKo a star and work with his excellent secondary caller skills. This resuscitates Falcons

@Thorin But most orgs are too cynical to bother, they have no incentive to win. At least not enough. NAVI would have one of the best chances if someone could explain to blade that no amount of bench coaching is going to squeeze anything more out of these pieces.
