@zomatocare , @zomato Gold covers free delivery upto 10 kms, the moment I change my delivery address to fall under 10 km range, gold coverage changes to 7 km only. What a dark pattern! This is just an example, similar manipulation in distance calculation happens too.

IT TAKES A LOT TO BE REVATHI…!!! While the whole country is celebrating the landmark judgement of death penalty for the NINE policemen in the Santhanakulam custodial torture and murder of Jeyaraj and Bennix, you should know about Revathi. Revathi was a constable in Santhanakulam police station in 2020 when the gruesome incident took place. She was the key witness and the sole reason for all the arrogant officers getting punished today. The police men involved in the brutality were all big men, Revathi was a small time constable. But she stood unperturbed. When Magistrate Bharathidasan, who initially investigated this case, arrived at the Santhanakulam police station he had no clue that constable Revathi will help close the case. "Sir, I will tell you everything, every detail, the truth that is being hidden. But I am the mother of two young girls... can you guarantee the safety of my children and my job?", she had asked the magistrate. Revathi was on night duty when the cruel incident took place. She witnessed the brutality being inflicted on Jeyaraj and Bennix and narrated every single detail. She told how SI Balakrishnan, inspector Sridhar and SI Ragukanes, kept beating the father and son with whatever they found, and how they also stomped on their private parts with their shoes. She remembered their screams. She saw how the officers took pause only to sip alcohol while the victims withered in pain. When the father and son were semi-conscious, unable to bear it, Revathi asked Jayaraj if he needed anything. She gave him coffee which the officials spilt it immediately. Revathi couldn’t stand the brutality but being a woman constable there was only so much she could do. She then offered water to the victims. The so called policemen then stripped Bennix naked, tied his hands and legs separately, and beat him up. They did the same to Jeyaraj. Revathi couldn’t bear the pain of their screams, she left the place. According to the postmortem report, their entire back was skinned, iron rods were inserted and they bled from their rectums. When the case was being discussed by the media, when even the CM of Tamil Nadu tried to brush it away, Revathi knew the truth. The police officials, cleaned up the station of any DNA evidences, erased the CCTV footage and warned everyone to shut-up and not try to become heroes. But Revathi didn’t just narrate the entire ordeal in exact detail…she even helped the investigating officials obtain other crucial information. Despite everything being cleaned, Revathi gathered DNA of the victims in crevices of the walls and floors, on furniture and other objects. She was questioned, threatened, intimidated, bribed and even abused. She stood by justice. She had to go against her colleagues for justice of comman man. In the time when police force is often looked upon with reasonable suspicion, there are people in uniform like Revathi. Today court could pronounce death sentence to nine police officers - only because one woman decided she will stand by truth! Kudos to Revathi, an amazing woman and an absolutely fabulous police officer. The world is a better place because of her courage. Salute ma’am 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

First line, and you lost me there. Dog lovers, almost always do!
Radhika Barman 🇮🇳🍉🕊️🐘🌱⛓️🇸🇩@RadhikaBarman5

You are a moron Gargi. You didn't even read report well. There is no food in garbage only biomedical waste, sanitary, plastic. etc. Would you like to scavenge through garbage to eat food ? No then why should the dog do. Do you know science behind dog population decreasing ? No. Get education maybe. Or read report. Their objective is sterilisation. You can't neuter a dog who isn't fed. Food makes healthy. Healthy dog opportunity to neuter. Those 400 are there for fault of us citizens who abandoned and municipality who couldn't neuter. And those rag pickers families you have concern for have kids who are btw helped by the couple while you do nothing but tweeting rubbish. And those rag pickers also btw love the dogs, report says. Numerous urban ecology studies show that sterilisation programs (ABC: Animal Birth Control) stabilise populations; starvation strategies do not. Hungry dogs simply roam farther, fight more, and breed just the same. Cities with unmanaged waste essentially run an open buffet for street animals. Remove the garbage, sterilise the dogs, vaccinate them, and the population drops over time. Those families are vulnerable because of poverty, unsafe housing, and lack of sanitation, not because someone fed a dog. Blaming feeders is an easy target; it avoids confronting the harder structural problems of urban policy. When you remove feeders and food sources abruptly, dogs roam wider, conflicts increase, and bite incidents often go up. Urban animal control researchers have seen this pattern repeatedly. None of this means letting populations grow unchecked is wise. The rational approach is boring but effective: sterilisation, vaccination against rabies, waste control, and responsible feeding in fixed locations. Cities that actually implement these measures see numbers stabilise within a few years.

One of the few things I ask the owner when moving in the new flat and some points which I follow. 1. Any issues with chairman or committee let me know upfront 2. Any person who'll keep troubling me post me moving 3. On date of moving owner to also come as I cannot take the truck with all my things back and go anywhere if some issue happens 4. NOC from them with date and time of move in. I know the assholes have ego or ask for some money etc 5. Even without a GF I would tell my GF will come home and if u have issues let me know and I don't want your flat. This one think has got me saved from narrow minded owners who would later be troublesome. The owners whom I have rented all have said no issues at all and feel free to call her. 6. As a bachelor get agreement done with your parents as one of them. There will always be one assholes who will raise bachlors not allowed show agreement. As soon the assholes tells this throw the agreement on their face and they'll shut up. 7. Important : What all is allowed to taken in lift. Assholes will then say fridge not allowed and loda lasun not allowed which will raise the cost of ur tranfer to 5X as all needs to be taken via stairs 8. For AC will hole in wall be allowed and specifically ask and mention that no deposit will be cut when leaving home 9. Specifically put clause of wear and tear will happen and no deposit money to be cut post leaving home in name of colour work etc 10. Pls Pls Pls click time stamped photos of the entire home and send it to the owner before moving in. That pics will save you your deposit and mental hassle later. Check image below. Just due to date stamped pic owner won't argue of pehle acha tha and all that choospa

I always take a service lift when carrying heavy items, or may need to block the lift loading/unloading bags, carrying food items that may probably spill. This is just to maintain hygiene and convenience for all.

Totally against the class divide but service lifts are for non-residentials use - Carrying groceries, bulky items, transporting goods etc in the passenger lift ruins it in the long term - damage, spill and what not apart from inconvenience and delay to passengers.
Aunindyo Chakravarty@Aunindyo2023

Almost everyday I violate my condo's rules, by asking domestic helps, waiting for the service left, to join me in the 'residents' elevator'. I have faced a mild pushback only once from one man who claimed it was a security hazard. Not one other 'resident' ever complained.

On an @IndiGo6E 6E 6184, boarding starts with front 10 rows first going all the way up to the back. Chat says, it's the slowest order to board passengers Indigo, could we optimize it ? ( Curious and would love to know if there is any other reason for it )

In the AI race, AI safety and transparency is left behind. Why do AI generated content, especially photos and videos, not carry an #AI label, as a default ? Should be enforced technically and as a policy. @sama, @elonmusk google.com/amp/s/www.hind…

This needs to be said out loud! Especially by those who are not from Medical Field, as Medicos have too much at stake to openly denounuce this inhumane torture and abuse ( and the glorification of it! ) #Medical #MedicalTwitter
Dr. AK 🇮🇳@docakx

Recently, I have noticed many Indian doctors indulging in low-key virtue signalling about the inhuman working hours during medical residency on this platform. Some even proudly claim that these duties never negatively affected them and helped shape them into proficient doctors. What they won’t tell you are the mistakes they made due to fatigue from this toxic work culture during residency. I prefer not to point out the consequences of these mistakes, as most go unnoticed due to the lack of time to identify them. The health hazards of such duties are another serious concern. At least one resident in every batch develops a major illness directly linked to these inhuman working hours. Beyond physical illness, the psychological trauma caused by such schedules is often overlooked. Mental health issues are typically discussed only after a major incident of deliberate self-harm or suicide. It’s a scientifically proven fact that working continuously for more than 24 hours causes severe attention deficits, comparable to being drunk. No one is superhuman enough to rise above these physiological limits. The human body needs rest for proper functioning. If you’ve done multiple 36-hour shifts, you were performing your duties in a mentally compromised state — one unfit for medical practice. Period. The least doctors can do is condemn the practice of continuous 36-hour shifts.

totally disagree. we went through this, so everyone else must go through it. we should not be asking for better duty hours, better working environments, higher wages. we should not be doing that because a section of our seniors went through it. god help the new generation indian doctors.

Will all data disclosure either to govt or legal requests be notified to the impacted users? Also, an anonymized dashboard for everyone to see quarterly/yearly aggregated disclosures? Without this transparency commitment, it's hard to switch. (Though I would love to).
Sridhar Vembu@svembu

On the topic of privacy, there are three distinct cases I want to address: 1. The secret lover case 2. The violation we feel when a company uses our personal data to show ads to us 3. The secret rebel case The secret lover case also applies to org trade secrets and confidential data but "secret lover" is more catchy 😁 We work hard to ensure your privacy in case 1. Our tech stack and product are designed with this as a major goal. Let me come to case 2. By taking a vow to not use your data to try to sell you stuff, we protect you from that sense of distaste or violation. Our strong stand also ensures that corporate confidential data or trade secrets do not get leaked to those ad-related data mining systems. The secret rebel case is subject to the laws of the nations we operate in. Any company operating in a jurisdiction promising to protect a secret rebel against their own government is making a false promise. Sovereign power always prevails over mere companies. Whether it is Google or Apple, when they operate in India, they have to comply with Indian law and likewise Zoho has to comply with US law when operating in America. So while secret rebels can communicate like secret lovers do, secret rebels cannot expect courts to affirm their right to plot against their government. Our stand has been consistent on this matter. I have said these in our Zoholics events in many locations around the world for well over a decade.
