@cybrtrkguy Right there with ya man. So many people pander saying you don’t need more range. When you use a truck as a truck and not just a large SUV range is critical. 400mi highway range is about perfect.

> Left home with 92% > Drove 233 miles > Required charge of 38 minutes in the middle of the trip. > Not towing I need more range. There is no other option. That is ridiculous.

There is not a stove on the market better than this one. Under 10 oz. Integrated igniter. Fits perfectly in your cup. Built for serious hunters.

A significant portion of northwest South Dakota/SouthEast ND is inaccessible by cybertruck/EV's as well. For example: If I wanted to drive to Faith from Rapid City round trip I could not make it on a full charge without doing like 45mi/hr. Range extender or bigger battery was a must for me.

2-Lane Highway road trips are a lost art with EVs. "just stick to the interstate, it's faster" Faster is not the point.
Tim Wildauer 🦬@timrwild

@TeslaBoomerMama @Kevoster9 @SawyerMerritt I took this trip last summer. 484 miles. Only a single destination charger in Pierre, SD, and we didn’t have half an hour to stop and charge. And this was a short leg of the overall trip.

@Tryangle @shygar mine started doing that about a month ago and they're replacing the PCS2 next month. Was around 42k miles on my early FS truck. Last service under warranty whew

@shygar Are you still in warranty? If so I would probably make a point of getting a service appt and asking them to check it before you’re out! I’m a 17xxx and mine already went around 28k miles. Seems like 25-50k is where many of the early units are showing cracks.

Has nobody at Tesla Charging noticed that the entirety of I-90 in South Dakota is still 120kW and 150kW Superchargers? Unusual.

@cybrtrkguy The struggle is real man. Crossed the state the other day and the murdo charger was down. Barely made it to Wall. The infrastructure in SD is atrocious

For the specific scenario he presented you must assume both cars (EV & ICE) start at home with the same capacity of energy. Let’s say 80% full tank and 80% full battery. Shats math checks. Now if you go in aggregate over a longer period of time with daily driving and not a specific trip, you’re correct. Both arguments hold up.

Folks, don’t take automotive advice from an elite who has his staff gas up his cars every week.
William Shatner@WilliamShatner

And for the #teslarites who don’t understand 500 miles. Time is money. How long does it take to pump a tank of gas? 4-5 mins versus 30. Early last week I went up to the Yosemite area (about 300 miles.) I got up there, did my thing and got gas (5 mins) and drove back. With a Tesla. It would be drive up (maybe on one charge) charge up 20-30 mins, do my thing. Drive back, stop along the way to recharge (again probably another 20 mins…) That’s too long. 500 would be one recharge so it’s 10 mins gas versus 29-30 mins which I would consider.🤷🏼

By far the biggest complaint of owning my cybertruck is range. We were promised 500mi in the original specs we reserved under, then were told we could pre order a range extender to get 500mi, then that was taken away from us. That being said, Cybertruck is still the best vehicle OTM.

@B_doong2daddy Range is also my #1... Didn't like the design of the range extender, but for those of us in rural areas without much access to supercharging (or in my case terrible 120KW nearby) this almost made me cancel my reservation. Ideally a battery pack swap to a higher kWh would be ideal

What I really would like for my Cybertruck 1. Extra front middle seat - I need total 6seats 2. Summon 3. Extra range for road trips 4. Actual noticeable ANC

@BeardedTesla Mine is going out as we speak. I use a wall connector and at first everything was fine charging at full 48A. Now I'm lucky to get 24A. Service scheduled for next month due to how far I am away from the nearest service center... Hoping my truck makes it that long

🚨 BREAKING: The red state of Florida is SURGING placement of Founding Father statues statewide, with Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiling Alexander Hamilton in Hamilton County "They take statues DOWN in other states — I get them for a discount!" 🔥 "We did Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Monroe — now James Madison in the hopper." Florida does it right again, PURE patriotism for America250 🇺🇸☀️

I may have to find a lighter firearm for my Cybertruck frunk gun. An SP5-K with two mags is too heavy. As soon as I open the frunk, it slowly closes and relocks on its own. Anyone have any tips for keeping it open?
