I published a video 2 hrs after a story broke in my niche. It did 90,000 views. My biggest competitor published the same video 6 hours later. It did 14,000. YouTube always pushes the first video on a trending topic. The most aggressive creator wins.

9/10 times the thing stopping most entrepreneurs from success is ego I've consulted 50+ entrepreneurs on YT last year and done $1M+ in sales The ones who are open minded and ready to learn always win The ones who ignore advice (that they paid for lol) always end up dying out

Storytelling = it’s just a way of structuring content so people stay engaged. You have to apply it to any niche. Even channels that are fully about fictional or AI-generated stories are fine. YouTube doesn’t flag content just because the story isn’t real. What they’re cracking down on is mass-produced, repetitive or misleading content especially when creators pretend fiction is real or add zero originality. If a story channel adds creativity, perspective or entertainment value and is clear about being fictional or dramatized there is no problem

@MarioJoos I agree storytelling will always work. But how do you avoid YouTube flagging your content as inauthentic when the stories aren’t real and you’re using AI to generate them?

Like mario said overediting was never really the problem and the real issue is that creators never truly understood the viewer to begin with and were optimizing for metrics they barely understood instead of the actual experience of watching. Now the cycle swings back and "talking to a camera" feels revolutionary again not because high production stopped working but because intention quietly disappeared along the way

The Mr Beast era is over. Over-edited, heavily produced, AI content flooded YouTube. The platform is now pushing authentic creators who talk to a camera and don't edit out every mistake. This has happened before. YouTube moves in cycles. We're in the authenticity cycle now.

"The MrBeast era is over" YouTube didn't suddenly discover authenticity it has always been rewarded and what actually happened is creators pushed optimization past the point of good taste For example: - Sound effects make moments hit; sound effects on every second make videos feel artificial - Cutting boring parts improves retention; cutting every natural pause makes content feel stressful - Big challenges create stakes; big challenges with forgettable personalities create noise Overediting was never really the problem and the real issue is that creators never truly understood the viewer to begin with and were optimizing for metrics they barely understood instead of the actual experience of watching Now the cycle swings back and "talking to a camera" feels revolutionary again not because high production stopped working but because intention quietly disappeared along the way
