@RinoTheBouncer I'm just sick of the hypocrisy, the buzzwords, both sides of the aisle irritate the fuck outta me. There's no discussion, just ragebait. This constant bickering over "conventional and unconventional beauty" regarding video game CHARACTERS is fucking nonsense.

Many have been complaining about “uglified female characters”, and the argument is that “people like beautiful things and men are the main gaming audience”🚀 Okay so where is that main audience from supporting these games? Yeah, they did manage to sell and some get to fund a sequel, but their sales are nowhere near The Last of Us, Horizon Forbidden West and the likes. I’m not saying I don’t want more games like these. I can enjoy games and characters of different kinds as long as they’re well-made and appealing to me. But my point is why is the talk about beauty only used online for outrage culture, yet when it comes to actual sales, far fewer people show up? Judging by the level of outrage over God of Way Laufey and Intergalactic or Horizon, you’d imagine a game like Stellar Blade would cross the 10m mark in a year or so. But that wasn’t the case. So do you actually want attractive characters or is it just small internet minority that wants outrage revenue?🤔

@aizenbabaniz Eve is perfect and I can’t wait for Stellar Blade 2. But it seems like not many grifters bought the game, at least not as many as TLOU2 or HFW, so try harder maybe?

Alanah Pearce has said she worked full-time for four years on God of War: Laufey but left in late 2024 and is no longer involved at all. “So here’s the God of War game I spent four years writing.” When asked how involved she was with the project, Pearce replied: “I worked on it full-time for four years, so thousands upon thousands of hours of involvement. I wrote characters, levels, story beats, dialogue, etc. But I left in late 2024 and the work they’re doing now is much harder. I’m currently not involved at all, and plenty of my work will have been replaced.” I guess she wrote another cook book
