I only have about 40 hours in Marathon atm, and though as expected the game just ended up in a niche. I really do think people are missing out on an absolute gem of experience Really feels like a "you had to be there" type of game I'll be seeing youtube vids about in 10+ years

@TheTacoTim uhh sometimes I use a free kit and I can take down purples. Just cause you are on free kit doesnt mean you cant fight.

Granted, this is slightly negated with the introduction of duos into Marathon. It's just not a good feeling to queue in with a kit, find that both of your teammates are free kits, and then you are forced to 1v3 most fights (not to mention said free kit teammates vacuuming up loot like a goddamn Dyson)
