I'm going to let you in on a secret that'll really piss a lot of you off. Hypergamy among Women is a net positive. IF you understand it. Most don't. So it's seen as a net negative. Because she's never fully satisfied. She's never fully Satisfied because she doesn't know how to do it for herself, she's not meant too, she's water. You're the Cup. She isn't shit testing you, she's seeking security, she's looking to find herself put at ease, ebcause whatever the fuck is going on in her head, is a hundred times dumber and more insipid in terms of how she got there, than it is in yours. She's using you as a yardstick for her own sanity. Hypergamy is their weakness and their strength, as long as you keep being superior to your previous self and recognize the game for what it is, finding a woman who responds to it is piss easy. But you've gotta be willing to play the fucking field. You've also got to get the fuck over yourself. There's no such thing as getting a Woman and Keeping Her. it's a never ending battle for what you desire. No one owes you Loyalty and it's a stupidly childish reasoning to suggest otherwise. You either deliver, or you don't. Equally though, she either delivers, or she don't. You don't owe her jack either.

@Strangeland_Elf Productivity seems to be the only measured metric these days. Nomber Beeg. Not; did you meaningfully enhance your art or your understanding. Just, how many things did you make?

@Sparkpoodle1 As it turns out, cooking your food changes the chemical make up and initiates all manner of downstream effects. For literally no fucking tangible benefit AND a net inferior product, in the case of Louis Pasteur's method, which has no basis in reality. But y'all demand it anyway.

@AhmadRehanKhan The fact that you can state that so dogmatically is precisely the flaw in your entire understanding of reality. You're positioning that the view of reality that is held by the subject is immutable and must adapt to YOUR perspective, without a hint of Irony.

If you actually worked in mental health, as a psychologist or psychiatrist, you’d know that delusions are not “different realities.” They are fixed, false beliefs held despite clear contradictory evidence and lack of logical support. This isn’t a philosophical debate, it’s a well-defined clinical concept. As a philosopher this isn’t your area of expertise, it’s important to approach it with caution and avoid presenting inaccurate interpretations as facts.
Justin Garson@justin_garson

I’m starting to question the very concept of ‘delusions’: the very act of labeling you as delusional implies a superiority on my part - that my grasp of reality is superior to yours in a way that does not merit argumentation. Why would that ever be an appropriate stance to adopt?

The commenters are raging at the idea of paying immigrants for leaving, saying they should get nothing. Guys, raging on the internet has done nothing for any Western European country. We need a solution that can actually happen in our European democracies. And as soon as possible. 5 more years of the current situation would amount to the same fiscal cost as my entire program of remigration. And in 50 years my suggestion would have earned itself back ten times. So let's go for a compromise with the empathic left, instead of just continuing with the status quo.
Jonatan Pallesen@jonatanpallesen

My 3 point plan for saving the future of Europe: 1. Give each immigrant $60k to leave Europe. 2. Make a deal with third countries with low cost of living that they will take immigrants if it is not safe in their home country, in return for large financial support. 3. Cut all welfare to immigrants. This will save billions and billions over the future decades, and prevent a large number of rapes, and not a single immigrant will be left destitute or unsafe.

@QuasLacrimas Yet another who doesn't understand why Reddit is trash. It isn't the Upvote/Downvote aspect. It's the fact that they hid the scores. Only showing Final tally is what enshitified Reddit, period.

The simplest argument for "no dislike button" is Hotelling's lemma: the internet already has a social media site focused on dueling upvotes/downvotes, it's called Reddit, Musk should want product differentiation because if X becomes exactly like Reddit, Reddit wins by incumbency
Pay Roll Manager Here@UsingLyft

The dislike button will also make it extremely difficult to promote new and controversial ideas. Humans are wired to notice negativity more than positivity. A dislike will be like 100 likes. I can’t think of a worse idea than a dislike button on this app. Make ppl articulate their dislike for something or they can ignore it. Don’t give them a cheap way to be negative.

Incorrect. Reddit was fine; UNTIL they removed the ability to see all scores. The moment you only saw Final Tally, you were able to exile people with different or controversial opinions. They knowingly applied this. A Downvote System functions just fine, as long as you're able to see all the score in real time.
Reddit Lies@reddit_lies

This is a bad idea. One of the reasons Reddit is so bad was because of the upvote/downvote system. If dislikes suppress posts in the timeline, X will rapidly descend into an echochamber.

There's a twisted irony in the fact that the "Solution to White Supremacy" is not to seek to elevate the potential and potency of the various races; but instead to Denigrate the one that is seen, almost universally, as Superior. Really reveals a great deal about the mediocre mindsets of modernity.

Ultraprocessed food isn't a coherent scientific concept and the attempts to formalize it have been a joke, as with the scale used in this study. Slice a potato and bake it: Unprocessed (Group 1) Slice a potato and fry it: "Ultraprocessed" (Group 4) Nuts: Unprocessed Nuts, salted: "Processed" (Group 3) Homogenized, pasteurized milk: Unprocessed Milk churned with sugar into ice cream: "Processed" This is a search for a scientific-sounding language to describe why one set of foods is nutritionally suspect, but in moralizing terms of how it was created by an industrial system, rather than characterizing food impacts directly by nutritional content or satiety. They can't just call the system "added sugar" because that's too obvious and not morally satisfying.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

People who eat around nine servings a day of ultraprocessed foods like chips and doughnuts have about a 67% higher risk of heart attacks, strokes and dying from heart disease compared with those who eat about one serving a day, according to a new study. 🔗 on.wsj.com/3PgXHeg

My students who are poor writers are also poor thinkers. Many are smart, but their ideas are sporadic, unfocused, and weak. This is why students MUST learn how to write clear and focused arguments. Writing trains the mind to think clearly and rationally.

Wisdom is Muting an account like this one that can only grievance farm on their remarkably narrow myopia. Yet offer nothing of actual substance. Doesn't matter what your IQ is, you don't benefit from their inability to move past this one subject, they've opined on, for months without resolution.
Hitchslap@Hitchslap1

There’s a reason we have IQ tests and not wisdom tests. “Wisdom” is a cope term favoured by people who score low on IQ tests. Seems very obvious.

Except it's not. The Debt cannot and will never be repaid. The Federal Reserve LOANS every single USDollar ever printed, then, charges interest on that loan. 100$ Printed, 101$ Owed back. Where do you get the dollar from? You can't. You can never repay the debt. That's the simple truth.

Low-state-capacity horror stories like this make me viscerally grok why pre-modern states were so ruthless in punishing crime. Like, maybe some people *need* to be broken on the wheel.

The UN estimates that 90% of Port-au-Prince is now controlled by criminal groups, using rape as a 'weapon of terror'. At MSF's clinic, 58% of survivors experienced a group assault, with an average of 3 perpetrators. ggd.world/p/can-women-wa…

A serious, non-trolling question: what exactly are women supposed to DO in modern relationships? I know reality doesn't reflect the Internet, this below is likely from Bahrain, couples likely work out the ancient ritual language of "head = actual massage (and maybe breakfast!)." But, what...is the Online Feminist ideal? Just make the 22-34% of the money and scream "Nope! NOT HERE!!!" a lot?

The econ-brained get offended when decisions are made on the basis of politics and shared interests in exactly the same way, and for exactly the same reason, that most communists get offended by supply and demand. Fundamentally they just don’t *want* the universe to work that way. So, they’ve spent decades convincing themselves that part of reality is *illegitimate*. This lets them direct their attention away from stuff that hurts to look at. Then they’re repeatedly surprised and upset when reality keeps working that way anyway.

It’s actually quite horrifying to think about this; there’s this narrative that women are gentler, less inclined to violence etc, and yet we are aborting our children, murdering husbands, and it’s been pretty clear for a while that the vast majority of SIDS cases are not accidental. I’d argue that women in the modern age are the worst they’ve ever been, with unbridled power at their fingertips and yet still demanding victimhood points and vilifying everything that is masculine. It is more urgent than ever to elevate in women what is beautiful and feminine and gifted by God, and the grace and purpose that comes with this.
FischerKing@FischerKing64

Men kill more than women. But it’s not quite to the degree most people assume. If you look at unsolved cases - you get more women as suspects than you would expect. Why? Women use poison and get away with it. Men use guns and knives and leave evidence all over the place.
