@GHarriom @zotzer You seem to have comprehension issues or some kind of cognitive impairment. You have my sympathies, partly.

@RussellIan5 @zotzer Same, been name called too, admittedly stooped to their level in retaliation. Its just insane how so many cant seem to comprehend how close to a disaster it was.

@Taibhse_Designs @zotzer This is the most rational assessment Ive seen on twitter. I've been insulted and called many things I'm not for saying the same. I'm sure you have too. Luckily it wasn't but it could have been 2016 TN all over again.

@GHarriom @zotzer What kind of sub IQ imbecile are you crawling out of Xs swamp. 1) no I'm not a pilot, hence why I have the intelligence to check how actual aviators and experts felt on what happened. 2) the pilots said it was a mistake and has grounded themselves. 3) yes I have a clue

@zotzer Yes they do and the pilots said they made a mistake, it was a close call. This could have been a mass casualty event. While everything looked cool, we got some cool photos, none of that changes the fact a mistake happened, a dangerous mistake. It wasnt planned wasnt controlled

@brunahQ17 @zotzer No it just simply looked cool, made some cool photos but overall was still a mistake as stated by the pilot and did put the crowd in danger. Both of these things can be true.

@dccopley1951 @zotzer It was real and it happened by mistake, as per interview with both team leader and the pilot themselves. Thankfully it wasn't a disaster.

The Blue Angels are the most highly trained pilots in the world. They are above top 1% to get that position. Nobody was in danger.

@nerune037 Hi Love your replica of the C25A, I've too been on and off working on a model one one, though using GBB internals if the design works out.

@FrezshDraws You miss the point entirely then, real experts realise they arent infallible, so safety become priority. Taking risks that can endanger others when accidents like it have happened before is spitting in the face of real experts, real professionals.

@Pokeycorky Skillset isnt the issue, safety is, mechanical and electrical systems can fail. Anything outside their control can influence a disaster. Safety rules exist to mitigate most of this and limit loss of life. The pilot was reckless and lucky not skilled.

These Blue Angel Pilots have the skillset to fly a few feet apart inverted from another Blue Angel, while performing a loop at 700mph, I’m sure they have the skillset to safely perform a low level beach flyover.

@MIZ_CFIN Even experts make mistakes, look at past air shows gone wrong. Rules exist for a reason, most in aviation written on the deaths of others.

@CourtAnne1225 Aviation safety rules are written in blood and lost lives. Its simply not supposed to happen. This could have easily gone horribly wrong. You'd be spouting a different story and bile to save face.

@CWLemoine You'd be saying something different if the outcome was a smashed plane and upto 100 dead on the beach.

@RedDave14 @PBresnihan Radar is non lethal aid, it allows for aiding in reducing the loss of life of civilians. So its doubtfut providing such has any bearing on irelands military neutrality.

@Taibhse_Designs @PBresnihan It can, though it’s not a specific rule, per se…one could also argue that the provision of air defence radar is directly contributing to the war effort. Neutrals still have to navigate Hague 1907. And then we have MM’s statement that Ireland is not politically neutral…

@RedDave14 @PBresnihan Neutrality can allow for providing non aggressive aid in favour of one side vs another, ie medical support, systems training, vehicles and non lethal equipment. Which is what we have done for Ukraine.

@Taibhse_Designs @PBresnihan Yes, I know; however, this was a formation of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’: so it could be argued that participation is also making a political statement in support of one side in a conflict. That would tend against classical definitions of neutrality.

@WomensSocIre @Education_Ire Freedom of speech is a right you shouldn't throw away too easily, even if what they say is something you dont like or is in poor taste, unless its an actual threat or call to do harm, then you can't called for punishment based on just speech.

@RedDave14 @PBresnihan Partaking in a march much like partaking in any military drills and exercises have no effect on out neutrality. Being neutral does not mean to have no military and no means for self defense.
