I didn’t even hear that you were sick, only that you have left us, and it hurts so deeply 😭😓😭. You never called me by my name, it was always “my daughter, daughter”… and because of you, even your children (my brothers) followed, calling me maama. That love, that warmth… I will carry it with me forever. Every time I came to see you, you welcomed me with prayers, with so much sincerity, always asking Allah to ease my path and jokingly praying that I bring you your son-in-law soon 😭💔. You wanted to witness it, you said you would wait, you said you would put baraka in my journey… but this is not how we wanted it My Halima 😭💔. I will miss your messages, your comments, your duas, “my beautiful daughter, may Allah make it easy for you.” Those words will echo in my heart forever 😭. Ya Allah, we have no right to question You. You give and You take. It was her time, and You have called her back to You. All I ask, Ya Rahman, Ya Raheem, is that You forgive her shortcomings, expand her grave, fill it with light, and make it more comfortable than her bed. My dad had sepsis after his surgery with led to his death.
