Dear Brock Lesnar,
The arena lights have dimmed, the pyro has faded, and the final roar of the crowd has echoed into silence.
After more than 2 decades of absolute dominance, you have hung up your boots in the WWE ring. And the wrestling world feels a little smaller today.
You weren’t just another superstar. You were a force of nature. From the moment you exploded onto the scene in 2002 as the Next Big Thing, you redefined what a WWE Superstar could be. You cashed in that Money in the Bank contract like it was inevitable.
You ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak in the most shocking moment in modern wrestling history. You conquered Raw, SmackDown, and everything in between, becoming a multi-time WWE Champion, Universal Champion, and King of the Ring.
You did it all while carrying yourself with that unmistakable aura - part machine, part beast, all legend.
What made you special wasn’t just the size, the strength, or the German suplexes on repeat. It was the rarity. You never overstayed. You showed up when it mattered most, delivered violence at the highest level, and reminded everyone why they fell in love with this industry in the first place.
Whether you were suplexing city after city, staring down Roman Reigns in a main event that felt like two apex predators circling each other, or simply walking to the ring with that quiet, terrifying confidence - you commanded attention like few ever have.
You bridged worlds too. From conquering the UFC Heavyweight Championship to becoming the biggest name in professional wrestling, you proved that the “Suplex City” limits didn’t exist. You made casual fans care and hardcore fans respect the hell out of you.
Even when you were away from the ring - raising your family on that farm in Saskatchewan - you remained larger than life.
Brock, you leave the business on your own terms, as a proven Hall of Famer in every sense of the word. You elevated opponents, created unforgettable moments, and carved your name into the Mount Rushmore of this industry alongside the greatest to ever do it.
Thank you for the destruction, the dominance, and the damn good times. The Beast Incarnate may have retired, but the legend never will.
Enjoy the peace, the family time, and the open road ahead. You’ve earned every second of it.
With respect and admiration,
A grateful wrestling fan
(and millions more)
