My favorite Qur’an reciter is my mom. and wallahi, nothing comes close. Every day after Asr, she would sit on her prayer mat and recite, and the whole house would go quiet, not because we were told to, but because her voice would calm everything inside us. After Isha, she would gather us in the living room and teach us the Qur’an. One page every week, and on Sunday we would give hadda. If you failed you already knew there was punishment with house chores. No one ever wanted to fail, Because if you did, you’d be stuck doing chores, and my siblings would tease you for the whole week But today, I’d do anything just to fail again and hear her correct me one more time🥹😭 My dad used to say whenever she recited, he would listen until he fell asleep. Until she passed away and left us in this world, and the house has never sounded the same. May Allah grant her Jannatul Firdaus and forgive her shortcomings. Ameen ya Rabb🥹😭🤲🏾

We have shared memorable moments back in the university, that I pray Allah accept from us as an act of Ibadah. His Janazah holds today in Bauchi. We lost a very wonderful soul today Basirat!!! A RN, and a mental health nurse in view.. She was happy and strong as of yesterday night according to people around her This lady was the best of her set academically She was one time mssn director of studies, One time Senate President of her school. She lost her mother in nursing school yet she kept going She once worked with one of our high profile client and got a recommendation. I'm filled with so much sadness as I couldn't have thought it will be her, I made a lecture to my colleagues on death yesterday night, and this morning I received the news of her demise with no logical explanation of what went wrong. I'm comforted knowing she died as a Muslim, she fasted Ramadan, observed Eid with joy. Today, before dawn. My sister and friend ganiyu basirat will be down the earth. Innalillah wa Inna illahi raajiun May Allah accept her return! ! Please say a prayer for Basirat.
