@Jaserpantz @MaritStiles What exactly was so bad under the NDP from 1990-1995. Because I remember Mike Harris being MUCH worse.

@MaritStiles Maybe so, but it would be way worse under the NDP. We remember 1990 - 1995 under the NDP.

@Joyhenderson78 The dr who didn't want me to try for a vbac and said it was a good thing I consented to surgery when I did because my scar practically unraveled like a zipper when he touched a scalpel to it, is on here. He also said I shouldn't have anymore kids. I had a 3rd with no problems.

Good list of who to avoid like the plague. Because of they are good with one kind of racism, you know they are comfortable with all kinds of racism.

Reminder that both NES and CM voted against upholding UNDRIP so a pipeline could be rammed across Indigenous land without consent. Ping @marymargaretbey for next time you wear your orange shirt. ourcommons.ca/Members/en/vot…

@WhitneeGarrett Scholar-admin support homie here with 3 kids. It's A LOT. But worth it. You juggle, learn what's rubber and what's glass. Stuff will get dropped so just don't drop the glass.

@WhitneeGarrett I've also read her unpublished short story A Necessary Being, Blood child and Other Stories, and I just finished Dawn on the weekend. I'm still processing and waiting for my library hold for book 2.

@WhitneeGarrett I remember being in gr7 or 8 writing "Time is measured by Change. Without Change there is no time." And for years I thought I was some deep genius but it was clearly Octavia 😂

@WhitneeGarrett I tried to read Parable of the Sower a long time ago and I was probably way too young. I didn't realize how much it impacted me until I read it for what I thought was the first time last year and "The only lasting truth is change" rocked me.

@DrAnnLopez Also a lot of people who say they have Black friends don't actually have Black friends. They have Black acquaintances...... or just one not even multiple.

Having a Black friend does not make you anti-racist. People with Black friends can engage in anti-Black racism. Instead of writing about Black women & Black people may I suggest that you examine the white supremacy logic that creates racial hierarchy from which you benefit
Kenny Xu@kennymxu

In 1940, 60 percent of Black women worked as domestic servants. In 1998, that number is 2.2 percent. In 1958, 18 percent of whites claimed to have a black friend. Today it's 86 percent. We have progressed in every possible way in Black rights and dignity in this country.

@Joyhenderson78 It's really hard because I'm trying to teach my 3 boys to be considerate of others while we're walking but it's wild how I'm calling out to my kids to single file and so many adults don't do the same for us.
