I was proud to stand with my colleagues today and announce an investment of up to $10 million to be provided to organizations through the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP) to respond directly to the security needs of Jewish communities. The recent rise in antisemitic attacks at synagogues across the GTA is deeply troubling and unacceptable. Hate and antisemitism have no place in our communities. This funding will support Jewish community command centres that coordinate monitoring and security for local institutions. To Jewish communities in Toronto and across Canada: you are not alone — your government stands with you against antisemitism, hatred, and violence in all its forms.

May I ask a sincere question? If, in the last election, you earned 169 seats and members of Parliament from other parties expressed a genuine desire to join the government caucus and sit as Conservative MPs, would you truly turn them away? Would you refuse the opportunity to strengthen your mandate and broaden your coalition, simply because they were not originally elected under your banner?
