@Minikothe3rd I'm not on your level to throw insults. Such has already classified you and put your intellect in the trash. Nigeria should find underlying issues destroying its cohesive fabrics and quit looking for soft landing using retards like you.

Let’s be clear: the New York Times investigation did not invent a villain, nor was it a joke. It exposed a very real problem, how a single unverified NGO narrative driven by Emeka, the man behind Intersociety, was elevated into an international policy reference point under the banner of “Christian genocide in Nigeria.” Intersociety’s own reports claim over 52,000 Christian deaths since 2009, later inflated through projections and speculative additions to figures approaching 120,000–125,000. These numbers were never independently verified, never audited by global conflict monitors, and never reconciled with data from neutral bodies that show Nigeria’s violence cuts across religion, ethnicity, and geography, affecting Muslims and Christians alike. Yet through aggressive lobbying and repetition, this weak and sensational dataset found its way into Western media and Washington’s policy debates. That is the danger the NYT highlighted, not “Igbo people,” not Christianity, but how activism without rigor can morph into foreign-policy pressure. America’s posture toward Nigeria did not emerge from intelligence brilliance or moral clarity; it emerged from bad data amplified loudly. And it took serious diplomatic engagement to de-escalate that posture into a limited, collaborative air operation with Nigerian authorities, carefully framed to avoid the humiliation of Nigeria while allowing Washington to save face and manage Trump’s ego. Ridiculing this exposure, or twisting the narrative, simply because the atrocity was done by your Kinsmen, doesn’t change the facts. It only avoids the harder truth: Nigeria’s security crisis is real, but falsifying it into a religious genocide narrative is reckless, dangerous, and nearly pushed the country into unjustified external aggression. Truth matters. Data matters. And Nigeria cannot afford to be a pawn in anyone’s manufactured outrage. Not even the Igbo man’s.

@ShehuSani All these threats and visa restrictions were caused by the screw driver seller in Onitsha, as you earlier submitted. Such utterances will certainly aggreviate Trump and the American intelligence organisations.

@ShehuSani First, it was a pastor from Plateau. Secondly, they said it was ipob using $66k. Now, a screw seller influenced trump after Tinubu paid N9M to defend genocide. But Tinubu / Trump cordinated strikes in Sokoto. This downplays America's might and makes us look unserious.

It’s unfortunate and tragic to read the New York Times report that the claim of ‘Christian Genocide’ was sourced from one Emeka,an Onitcha based Screwdriver Trader and ‘operator of a small NGO’ who falsely claimed to have documented “125 thousand Christian deaths” using “google searches”.How such an unverified claim could tensed up the US lawmakers,President and the intelligence community, that led to an airstrikes is one of the most foolish and comical historical events in our lifetime. This is shameful.

@DanielRegha In the landscape of contemporary Nigerian politics, few figures have ignited as much hope and conversation as Peter Obi. Known for his pragmatic approach and focus on fiscal discipline, Obi has become a symbol of a growing movement advocating for accountability in governance.

@JAMBHQ @PeterObi What becomes of those teens who couldn't meet up with this ridiculous timing? Thousands across the country missed this JAMB examination due to security challenges of moving about unfamiliar terrains at ungodly hours? @JAMBHQ we Nigerians demand answers.

@PeterObi, Your Excellency, I must assert that our examination is scheduled to commence at 8:00am, not 6:00 am. While verification and other clearance processes begins at 6:30am , it is imperative that candidates are afforded adequate time to settle in before the exam begins.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

I came across multiple reports of students being asked to attend a public examination by 6:30 AM, teenagers, mostly around 15-17 years old, forced to travel in the dark, even in the face of insecurity, across dangerous and unfamiliar locations, because they want to get the basic right of education and sit for JAMB examinations. Setting exams for vulnerable teenagers as early as 6:00 AM while transporting them across far-flung locations is reckless. Already, reports are emerging of students getting into accidents and losing their young lives, some going missing, and many more being subjected to unnecessary trauma. Who takes responsibility when a 15- or 16-year-old child disappears or is harmed while trying to access their right to education? This situation sadly exposes a deeper, systemic failure: Nigeria simply does not have enough universities and exam centres to cater to its youth. Today, Nigeria has just about 200 universities for a population of over 200 million people. That alone means one university for every one million citizens, a very disturbing and staggering ratio that shows the dilapidated level of the country’s access to education. According to the data from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics and IndexMundi, countries aiming for good development, strong economies, and broad access to higher education are expected to target a Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) of at least 40% And according to these statistics, Nigeria with a population of about 230 million people and about 200 universities has a GER of about 12% In comparison with other countries with a high population, for example, Indonesia with about 280 million people has over 4,000 tertiary institutions and stands at a ratio of about 1 university per 70,000 people and a GER of over 45%. The country has over 10 million students enrolled in tertiary education alone spanning across various ages. Indonesia’s substantial investment in education is evident in its university-to-population ratio, supporting its large student population. Nigeria’s GER, on the other hand, is significantly below the global average, showing the urgent need for substantial investment in education, which would, in turn, yield national growth and development. Indonesia, unlike Nigeria, has universities scattered across every region, making access to exams, learning, and opportunity far more democratic and safer. If we had even half of Indonesia’s educational infrastructure, which would be about 2,000 universities, the Nigerian child would not be forced into life-threatening journeys just to write an exam and still face challenges of university acceptance after performing well. Education is not a luxury or expense, It is the biggest contributor to development for any nation, and therefore most important investment any nation can do for development. You cannot claim to want development while starving our young the access to knowledge. You cannot claim to value your citizens while risking the lives of teenagers every examination season. We must aggressively and intentionally expand our education system. We must strive to match our population with access to education. Our young generation should not be endangered because they desire education. We must do better as a nation and ensure that our future leaders get the new Nigeria that they deserve. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@AishaYesufu My ward couldn't write the exams. We just couldn't make it to the exam venue at 6:30am, the venue is a troubled area in Plateau State. It was supposed to be a 3-hour drive, and even if we had started the journey at 4 pm, we would still have missed the exam time. Very sad.

@NajibMusa921820 @IU_Wakilii I have been wondering how people will allow such deep hate flow down into the souls of younger generations who don't even know or care about what might have transpired in the past. Such an unholy act will only continue to sow bitterness in a child's life at a very tender age.
