@Noahpinion Agreed. Very much so. Makes me sad, as I had just gotten there. Been sad to watch 'the call come from inside the house'.

The transformation of liberals into "progressives" since 2013 has seriously been the worst thing to happen to American culture in my lifetime. Just absolutely gutted so much of what was good about this country. End of a golden age.

Note two very very different responses in opposing “Israel’s right to exist” framework: Some, like Tucker: “The question doesn’t make sense” Others, like Yousef: “No, it does make sense and here is why Israel doesn’t have the right to exist”
Yousef Munayyer@YousefMunayyer

This isn't complicated, Israel's existence was forged through ethnic cleansing. When people ask if Israel had a "right to exist" what they are asking but too underhanded (or dumb) to acknowledge, is whether Israel has a right to get away with ethnic cleansing.

@RQA It is difficult to get a good estimate as Harvard doesn't record / release those numbers. The ~20% figure seems correct historically. There are claims this number has gone down, but I doubt the 7% claim.

Harvard has ~20% Jewish undergraduate students, many Jewish staff and the current president is Jewish. Claiming Harvard is institutionally antisemitic strikes me as unreasonable. What this lawsuit will achieve though, is to fuel the perception that Jews are being unfairly favoured over other ethnicities / religions, which in turn will feed antisemitism.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi@AGPamBondi

Today, we sued @Harvard University for enabling and even encouraging antisemitism on its campus @AAGDhillon @SecKennedy. The Trump Administration has been abundantly clear: any school that receives federal funds risks losing those funds if they permit blatant discrimination.

@Tallow_beach @arash_tehran If you are willing to settle for a world with brutalism and stupidity as the rule, then it is you who has surrendered. At worst I will die fighting freely, but you at best will thrive in a brutish life on top of the sad lives of others.

I have a lot of followers across the world so I’m extremely curious to see how this poll does. Narrative framing has become such a key weapon in American politics over the last 10 years (even more than before). When it comes to this situation in Iran:

@John_Hempton @jarcherstudiox @Matt_Camenzuli It always did feel like an attempt to do 'Trump But Oz' was always gonna fail. And I agree re: centre-right. On a federal level, it where the country works best and, almost counterintuitively, innovates and grows the best.

Nobody alas. Australia has a center right electorate and no center right party. A competent centre right party wins. There is a problem that people who join political parties are generally more extreme than the general populace. But the right are taking a natural winning position and turning it into electoral suicide. @Matt_Camenzuli is a leading member of the right wing suicide squad. So indescribably stupid.

At this early stage, One Nation could be the official opposition in South Australia. The Labor supporting Liberal Party is being walloped by One Nation. When the Liberals become Teals and or DLP Labor light, nobody wants them anymore. Even in the metro areas.

It’s starting to look like this hunch was correct and that the IRGC, in a desperate attempt to set the region on fire and rally jihadists behind them, is trying to blow up the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. This cluster munition flew directly over Al-Aqsa and landed just 200 meters away. This shell would have destroyed the domes. This seems to be their plan. It is the only possibile reason they are repeatedly targeting the Old City of Jerusalem. There are no military targets there, and most of the population is Muslim.
Saul Sadka@Saul_Sadka

This map of Jerusalem shows a black rectangle marking the Temple Mount, the site of the Dome of the Rock. The red dots indicate the approximate locations of Iranian missile impacts in Israel’s capital over the past two weeks. Could the IRGC actually be trying to hit Al Aqsa in some deranged Hail Mary attempt to frame Israel for damaging it?
