Phoenician was much more gruesome/violent than usual, had real scorn for conglomerations and politicians ruining the world, and was obviously made with his wife and kid in mind. Similar style doesn’t = same movie

Wes Anderson's films are underappreciated because many critics worry that criticism isn't a serious-enough activity and therefore reject his comedic (albeit complex, substantial, even philosophical) approach to his films' truly serious matters. Dourness is taken for importance.

The marketing was very poor for the film whereas hamnet pushed buckleys performance hard. Campaign killed it dead in its tracks. Reinsve also never really had a shot unfortunately.

love and light and i do not mean this as a critique or attack but young women on film tumblr very much valorized the bling ring. so much, in fact, that it produced one of the most enduring, defining cinematic images of the millennial decade!

Given you’ve liked a couple, if you give asteroid city/French dispatch/phoenician scheme another shot I think youd probably find they have more to offer than youd remembered
