Do you remember in The Lion King when scar told the hyenas if they helped him become king he will make their lives better and then their lives didn’t get better and he blamed them for it. And upon realizing this, the hyenas ate him. Do with that story what you will.

the problem with you all is that you see misogyny as a minor character flaw and not a serious form of bigotry

"Be thankful your mother didn't abort you" has no meaning to me. I wouldn't be born and wouldn't know so you'll find me not giving a fuck. Lol. That's such a dumb fucking argument.

“I don’t understand why women don’t just report it if it really happened.” When I was 19, I reported mine. I had bruises. Hospital photos. Text messages of him apologizing the next morning. My friends drove me to the station because I could barely stop shaking. I thought evidence would make it simple. I thought truth would be enough. Months later, I was the one on trial. His lawyer printed my Instagram photos and held them up in court. Asked why I wore crop tops. Asked why I drank that night. Asked why I didn’t scream louder. He replayed my police interview and pointed out every time I hesitated, every time I cried, every time my timeline wasn’t perfectly linear. “If it was traumatic,” he said, “why can’t she remember clearly?” Sitting there while strangers debated my pain like it was a group project felt like being stripped again. My messages were projected on a screen. My body was described in detail. My character was picked apart like that was the real crime. He walked out on bail. I walked out with panic attacks. That’s why some women don’t report. Because even with bruises. Even with screenshots. Even when you do everything “right.” You still have to survive the assault twice, once in private, and once in public, just to maybe be believed.

How many times do we have to tell you we don’t care about the grenade because that will never happen. Just get the everyday stuff right, like the breakfast order.
BigIndianPublishing@BigIndianPub

@RealDianeYap That man would probably throw himself on a grenade to save his wife without a second thought. What SHE cares about is whether he remembers her favorite breakfast.

I am very, very sick but a neighbor just rode his bike down the street screaming "WE ARE NOT GETTING ANY MORE ANIMALS!!!" while being chased by his 3 small children on their (decreasingly smaller) bikes who kept chanting "HAMSTER! HAMSTER! HAMSTER!" and I had to share

I call this phenomenon “real world graphing.” I love it. I once read a study that charted all the dots of flattened gum on the sidewalks of a city. It discovered that the densest clusters were outside of nightclubs, where people were presumably most concerned about bad breath.

Gauss meets real life. Also - Notice how people lifting 95 already say, “Fuck it, let’s do 100” - so there’s a discontinuity point. Mathematical theory faces reality.
