Just to be clear we are now assessing penalties in major championships called in by fans on social media using burners that hate the player they’re calling in the infraction on.

I'll give the R&A some benefit of the doubt. They may have another camera angle and/or more information I don't have. But based on what I've seen so far, I do think a lot of players wouldn't receive a penalty for doing exactly what Bryson did.
