After digesting last night’s unfathomable collapse against VCU, I have this to say: North Carolina has been historic, for all the wrong reasons, the last 5 seasons. Players, fans and alumni deserve better. Great guy, but not “the guy.” It is, unquestionably, time to move on.

Carolina beat Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas this season, has reached a national championship game and won one more recently than Duke and Kentucky, and holds the records for most NCAA tournament wins and Final Four appearances

First full NCAAT game I’m watching since UNC/VCU. It’s like getting back into dating after a bad breakup.

I am tired of watching talented North Carolina teams build a lead, play “not to lose” and end up losing anyways. I am also tired of watching heroic comeback attempts that fall *just short.* Too many stressful watches these last few years.

NO lead has been safe in the Hubert Davis era. Aside from the 2 historic blown NCAAT leads, remember the January Syracuse game? Up 32 w/ 9:56 to go. Lead down to 6 w/ 42 seconds. If it was pulled off, it would’ve been the largest 2H comeback in history/2nd largest overall.

Tough sledding for the ACC in the NCAAT injury-wise. Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Clemson and SMU (likely) down 1+ starter each. Cumulative per-game contributions for the 6 starters: 80.1 PTS, 33.6 REB, 18.1 AST, 6.7 STL, 3.6 BLK. A lot of production left on the table.
