Anthropic just published a support page that should terrify anyone holding its shares on the secondary market. "Any sale or transfer of Anthropic stock, or any interest in Anthropic stock, that has not been approved by our Board of Directors is void and will not be recognized on our books and records." Void. Not restricted. Not pending review. Void. That means if you bought Anthropic shares through Forge, Hiive, or any other secondary platform without board approval, you are not a stockholder. You have no stockholder rights. Your transaction is invalid. It gets worse. Anthropic says it does not permit SPVs to hold its stock. Any transfer to an SPV is void. Investment funds claiming to offer indirect exposure are "most likely relying on mechanisms that attempt to circumvent our transfer restrictions." Forward contracts, tokenized securities, synthetic exposure products, all of it potentially worthless. Their advice to investors: "Assume that it is invalid." There is a multi-billion dollar secondary market in Anthropic shares right now. Platforms are pricing the stock at $265-$1,400+ per share based on a $380 billion valuation. Real people have put real money into these positions. And Anthropic just told them none of it counts. This is the purest possible illustration of counterparty risk. You can buy a share of a company and have the company itself declare your ownership void because you bought it through the wrong channel.

Billionaire Michael Milken joked “if a US company replaces the US-born CEO with a CEO born in India, I buy the stock” But he reveals he hasn’t backtested the idea. So we did. In the last 15yrs, that would’ve 50x’d your money: 7.5x more $$ and >2x IRR vs S&P500: 30% vs 14%!

It's simple. Apollo and Blackrock are 2 of the largest shareholders of $CRCL. They don't really care much about Arc token, but if it's worth anything, it's a huge boost to Circle's balance sheet & other financials. I.e. the stock pumps, and they make multiples more simply through $CRCL appreciation.
Kyle@zeroxkyle

can someone explain why anyone would buy the ARC token if you could buy CRCL this seems like the pinnacle of the whole token <> equity problem, this time you have a publicly traded stock who owns % of the token

Till this day I read stories about people going from 5-8 figs and I'm in awe. And then I remember, oh I did that too, just not in 21 months, nor through trading, but through airdrops + early stage investing + yield farming + being consistent over 9 years. IMO the path and lessons learnt along the way matters more than the destination.

for those new: i swing traded $35k to $10M in 21 months with only stocks by chasing catalysts and taking profit now i started a new $35k challenge currently $68k all in $HIMS to show people how to do it follow me @kevinxu if you want to escape the underclass

A team at Stanford and Arc Institute fed a language model a DNA sequence and asked it to write a new virus. It wrote hundreds of them. 16 worked. One of them used a DNA packaging protein that doesn't exist in any known organism on Earth.

There is something extremely disgusting and sickening about these fake bets. I don't know why it pisses me off this much. I think because of the sheer lying - taking your fans and abusing their trust, and giving a vouch-by-proxy for a huge amount that isn't real, opening them up to getting scammed by the website later (The bet is confirmed fake on multiple levels - he messed up the fake video recording, Rainbet is known for doing fake balance ads, Axe doesn't have enough money to bet that much, etc.) Just really really gross. I know that it's the wild west right now and there's essentially zero regulation - all of this is most likely going to go completely unpunished - but I'm praying that five years from now, Western governments somehow have an army of AI lawyers and retroactively go after these disgusting breaches of trust and illegal marketing tactics. Laws aside, on a moral level, it's sickening.
Wizard Of SoHo (🍷,🍷)@wizardofsoho

This was a fake larp bet and he still lost Absolute comedy. I have seen plebs in my life but I haven’t seen such poor larp plebs. After losing all his money shorting the bottom and being the worst investor and trader he resorted to shilling low cap memes like $spike and rugged his following with other failed larp traders and then shilled scam casinos Now fake rainbet bets Jesus lord delete your account dude.

A quote by Dostoevsky to summarise his life.
GRITCULT tweet media
GRITCULT@GRITCULT

Dostoevsky was 28 when they stood him in front of a firing squad. Blindfolded. Hands tied. He could hear the rifles being loaded. At the last second a messenger on horseback arrived. The Tsar had commuted the sentence. The entire execution was staged. Psychological torture designed to break him. It worked. He had a seizure on the spot. They sent him to a labour camp in Siberia. 4 years. Freezing. Starving. Sleeping on wooden planks next to murderers. His epilepsy got worse. He had no paper. No pen. Nothing. When he got out he was broke. His first wife died. His brother died. He inherited his brothers debts. He was so desperate for money he signed a contract with a publisher that would have given away the rights to everything hed ever write if he missed the deadline. He wrote The Gambler in 26 days to make it. Dictated it to a 20 year old stenographer named Anna. Married her three months later. Then the real work started. Crime and Punishment. The Idiot. Demons. The Brothers Karamazov. The greatest novels in the history of the Russian language. Maybe any language. The man who stood blindfolded before the firing squad, who convulsed on the ground while soldiers watched, who slept next to killers in Siberia for 4 years, who was buried in debt and grief. That man wrote: "every minute can be an eternity of happiness." He earned the right to say it. its never over. never give up fren.
