🔷 The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) launches the second NUDGE (Non-intrusive Usage of Data to Guide and Enable) initiative to strengthen voluntary compliance. 🔷 Analysis of AEOI information for FY 2024-25 (CY 2024) has identified high-risk cases where foreign assets appear to exist but have not been reported in the ITRs filed for AY 2025-26. 🔷 As part of the NUDGE campaign, SMSs and emails will be issued from 28th November 2025 to such taxpayers, advising them to review and, where necessary, revise their ITRs by 31 December 2025 to avoid potential penal consequences. 🔷 This #PRUDENT data-driven, non-intrusive, and taxpayer-friendly compliance initiative reflects CBDT’s commitment to enabling informed taxpayer action rather than intrusive enforcement. By using advanced data analytics to provide timely alerts, the initiative encourages taxpayers to voluntarily correct omissions and maintain full compliance with tax laws. 🔷 This endeavour is aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat, strengthening a culture of transparency, accountability, and responsible tax behaviour. 🔷 Details in the Press Release :
