A consultation started, but all the bodies (RPSGB, NPA, PSNC) kicked off. The outcome… …The RP Act we have today, which allows a pharmacist to be 2hrs absent 🤦‍♂️

@wickerpharm @tony_schofield @pabakz @Pharmacistdaz @NickThayer99 Technology is no longer the barrier. These days we can do anything we want. Yes there are legal barriers. but even that can be changed if the will is there. The real barrier is within our profession and those with vested interests who do not want to see any change.

@tony_schofield @pabakz @Pharmacistdaz @NickThayer99 Back in 2004 the DH with RPSGB backing ran trials of remote supervision. @Tariq_Muhammad1 (now CEO Titan) ran one in his community pharmacy group in Bristol. It was very impressive with interactive video and ability to lock tills and monitors until item approved by pharmacist

@tony_schofield @DigitalPhamcist Come and look at our SynMed sometime. It was expensive but it works well and saves massively on staff time. Checking is still a pain. Re Titan, I visited @Tariq_Muhammad1 ‘s set up in Bristol back in 2004 and it was brilliant then! NPA were considering investing in it.

Hmmm the robot arm for stocking up is broken again. Can dispense but we can’t feed anything into it Annoying. Engineer called, not available until Monday Automation problems. It’s not a pain free option

@LeylaHannbeck @MHRAmedicines I can’t believe we are still talking about LASA in 2022 🤦‍♂️ We have the solution via #barcode validation which stops the label being printed if wrong drug scanned. Every @Titan_PMR pharmacy does it as standard and it doesn’t matter what the drug looks or sounds like.
