End of the quarter gave some relief to all the underwater longs. Today was the most bullish day this year although one day does not make a trend. It may be tempting to start looking for shorts here, but I think we need at least a week before they set up well. We bounced so hard, the short term OB/OS indicators are getting overbought. I am not too worried about it, as short term SA is super bullish. Both super green and a spike in DIX. I expect strong follow through for at least a day or two. Set up wise, there really isn't much setting up well. I don't even have a list for tomorrow. Everything is dregs of dregs. $KLIC, $TER, and $AMAT all look somewhat similar, and are holding up. I have $TH and $PAYP as flags, but they are meh.

$SOGP interesting as an EP, but gapping right into an AVWAP from the highs

In the last few trading days, even the stocks holding up are rolling over. Set ups are few and far between, and the strong stocks are all energy for the most part. strangely enough today, we did have some bullish divergences. I think if we have a gap down tomorrow, and can't push lower, it may be a good time to take a few stabs at longs Overall though, even if we bounce here, it is going to take a few weeks for things to stabilize and volatility to calm down. Longs here are tough because its easy to get wicked out. Nothing much to share from the internals. I did miss a VIX sell signal from Friday that I didn't mention over the weekend. Set up wise, I have a few stocks, but they feel random. They aren't from leading groups. Maybe $NOK has some group strength. I keep taking little stabs at $GCT and getting wicked out. $DSX is a decent shipping name. $FIGS also is setting up well. At this point, everyone is in the bearish camp. Hard to deny as we broke below the chop that had been consuming us for months. Shorts are working fantastically, following through at over 80% levels from previous day breakdowns...which means it is probably time for a nice rally that will be impossible to trade without chasing. Positioning wise, there is not good news. The dumb money covered a lot of their shorts, smart money got less long all the indexes except the Nasdaq where they bought. Not the kind of thing we want to see for a sustained rally. Set up wise, there are still stocks showing great RS and setting up, but they do seem a bit random. Group wise, energy is obviously where to be. $NDLS has a nice HVC set up. $RYAM has its first 20MA set up since the big volume day. Trucking could be ready, it is tight, watching $XPO. $ATEX is strong, but a bit choppy and coming up to resistance. $VSNT still looks good.
