The funny/sad thing for Adelaide, is that when a club wants to build a contending list from the draft with high draft picks, they usually draft and recruit elite and high end midfield talent. Then build the other pillars around this midfield. Who the fuck told the crows to basically recruit every other position apart from elite/high-end midfielders or on the rare occasion when we actually drafted a midfielder to play him out of position in the dead man dead man zone of High HF. This is the issue and it all stems back to the persistent use of Laird, Crouch and Keays for 3-4 years as our midfielders and not playing any youth as well as screwing up in multiple drafts.
