Also if you're pathing towards lanes who should have prio from their matchup you will most likely get crab. It's not coinflip. A good jungler paths correctly and can have huge impact in games!

The amount of games you not get to play JGL is way higher than the amount of games you get teamgapped as laner. Sure you have those freewins too. But neither of both is enjoyable.
