RIP to Risto Näätänen. Huge contributions to sensory, cognitive, and clinical research using EEG. Many of his papers served as my introduction to EEG research back in the day - and are still required reading (IMHO) for anyone in our field.

@willjharrison Thanks for sharing Will. I think you have it right - it’s tolerance for uncertainty. I definitely struggle with that too. But your talent and passion is clear here in this thread - curiosity about the world is what makes you a “scientist” no matter where or how you apply it

18/ Maybe I just wanted to point out something that doesn't need pointing out: behind every paper is a bunch of humans with human problems. It's hard for different reasons for different people.

Recent news! Our Director @MartaIGarrido has been elected to the @OHBM council as Program Chair. OHBM is the major international neuroimaging society with an annual meeting attracting 3000 people on average each year. Their next stop - Seoul, Korea between 23-27 June 2024.
