@Falcon_350 @CanonUSA It can be impossible sometimes to get in contact with the press/marketing team at a company, which makes sense as they tend to get flooded with free sample requests. Usually they contact you, not the other way around.

@TastyPCTV @CanonUSA I'd tried to find an alternate method to contact Canon and double-check as part of my investigation to see if it was legitimate or a scam.

@Falcon_350 @CanonUSA I was suspicious from the start but treated it like it was a real opportunity (it's from the real Canon account after all) until I was presented with a link, which I didn't click.

@humanbeingawk I was in @BootsUK and the only staff in the entire store were at the checkout. I had to wait ages in a giant queue before I could ask the lady to open a security door for me, at which point I had to queue all over again to pay. If I didn't need the item so much I'd have left it.
