@KahliefAdams I still have my share of discs and do love physical media, however, there is zero advantage to physical due to the inability to deliver mostly bug free and feature complete titles day one. Digital downloads and day one/week one patches are here to stay it seems.

@ZanonGalt @StarfieldGame I've posted about the Ship Blueprint thing so many times - I'm tired of rebuilding the same ship every single time. I like my ship 🤣
English

@StarfieldGame You must allow us to create blueprints from our created ships so we can re-build them on the next playthrough via this device.
Also, expand the database to include NPCs, flora, fauna, POIs, locations, etc. Make exploration worthwile.
And add a cover system.

@Ridzilla Avatars. We don't need motion-based controls to have a reason for them to exist - Create the Xiiverse (Xbox Miiverse) to hang out in and eventually maybe a proper party game or two where we can play as our digital selves.

Two indie devs made a game where you run your own video store in the early 90s. It’s currently the #5 top-selling game on Steam.
- Rent out VHS tapes & manage customers
- Charge Late & Broken Fees
- Upgrade & customise your store
It’s called Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

Holy shit... Microsoft open sourced an inference framework that runs a 100B parameter LLM on a single CPU.
It's called BitNet. And it does what was supposed to be impossible.
No GPU. No cloud. No $10K hardware setup. Just your laptop running a 100-billion parameter model at human reading speed.
Here's how it works:
Every other LLM stores weights in 32-bit or 16-bit floats.
BitNet uses 1.58 bits.
Weights are ternary just -1, 0, or +1. That's it. No floats. No expensive matrix math. Pure integer operations your CPU was already built for.
The result:
- 100B model runs on a single CPU at 5-7 tokens/second
- 2.37x to 6.17x faster than llama.cpp on x86
- 82% lower energy consumption on x86 CPUs
- 1.37x to 5.07x speedup on ARM (your MacBook)
- Memory drops by 16-32x vs full-precision models
The wildest part:
Accuracy barely moves.
BitNet b1.58 2B4T their flagship model was trained on 4 trillion tokens and benchmarks competitively against full-precision models of the same size. The quantization isn't destroying quality. It's just removing the bloat.
What this actually means:
- Run AI completely offline. Your data never leaves your machine
- Deploy LLMs on phones, IoT devices, edge hardware
- No more cloud API bills for inference
- AI in regions with no reliable internet
The model supports ARM and x86. Works on your MacBook, your Linux box, your Windows machine.

Great start to the morning with Team Xbox, where we talked about our commitment to the return of Xbox including Project Helix, the code name for our next generation console.
Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games. Looking forward to chatting about this more with partners and studios at my first GDC next week!

It’s rare in life to know when a chapter is closing, but after 38 years at Microsoft, that moment has arrived for me. I’ve made the decision to retire and begin the next chapter of my life. It’s a milestone that’s given me a chance to reflect on the incredible journey I’ve been fortunate enough to share with so many of you.
English

Welp, Xbox is cooked kids. Nadella’s fault I’m sure, along with the AI push. Pour one out… it’s been a great run 🥂😭
