The CEO took a chance in LARPing as a Ryan Cohenesque activist investor and made himself rich by bread crumbing retail investors into believing he was going to squeeze naked short sellers, aka, “those who wish us harm” Instead, he sold all of his shares and ensured that he did vs so at the top. He knew it was the top because he was planning on a massive dilution plan so that naked short sellers would end up buying his cheap, late, dilution created shares rather than retail’s early shares. Bankruptcy, if triggered while there are still false located shares, would expose the scheme through the court appointee audits. A resulting panic squeeze on the institutional side of things would prevent the theoretical bankruptcy from happening seemingly.
