@roninmercllc Descriptions certainly do vary, w/ the concept of numerous (unverifiable) "types" of dogman this isn't too surprising... paired w/ inadequate human recall. Purported Bigfoot attributes vary considerably as well, & I would liken some to European Ogre lore of old. Intriguing cycle!

@TeaandCryptids The problem with making dogman art is that the descriptions very too much for a an established pattern, and as you pointed out, there is a LOT of overlap with European werewolf descriptions.

It's tricky finding purportedly accurate DOGMAN illustrations. Many of us turn to werewolf art as these "creatures" have shockingly similar, if not in some cases identical features. Though, I appreciate an artist who specifically sets out to capture DOGMAN! Well done! #cryptid

No doubt, some cryptid sightings are misidentified known creatures, hey... we're human! Some "sightings" are people seeking attention, tis human nature. BUT, a percentage of sightings are truly legitimate (I firmly believe). Up close, personal & reliable. They know what they saw!

The BLUEBUCK (blue antelope) is set to make a comeback after 225 years of extinction! Colossal Biosciences managed to extract a full genome sequence from a 10,000 year old blue antelope fossil tooth... found in a cave, the tooth's DNA was protected. A miracle of nature & science!

@terramysteria @Lemurian1897 Arkansas definitely has its share of folklore and sightings! The most infamous of such might be the Fouke Monster in Southwest Arkansas. But, there are few corners of Arkansas without some mystery creature lurking nearby.

I'm back from a long weekend in Arkansas aka Cryptid Central... I say that only half jokingly! Arkansas is full of legends, folklore & sightings! While in Booger Hollow I kept my eyes peeled for BIGFOOT & when in the Ouachita National Forest I knew DOGMAN was likely lurking near.

"Dog-Faced Booger"... how many cryptid researchers would have refered to the DOGMAN prior to its widespread acknowledgement. Linda Godfrey, paired with the viral qualities of the internet gave us a way to capture the essence of DOGMAN nationally, putting "werewolves" on the map!

@BruceConspiracy I feel like this question comes down to definitions and how literally we apply them. Honestly though, the fact that such extraordinary creatures actually existed is just mind blowing, and such truth is just as shocking as if we discovered true fire breathing creatures existed.
