@LambLex One of my favourite NGS moments was Beatrice Taylor representing the Old Glasgow Club at the Amenity Liaison Committee. When we were debating the dubious colours of a new build's materials she added, "I remember when Glasgow had a nice uniform layer of soot." End of discussion.

A rare example of a building in Glasgow city centre that still has the soot that built up during its first century.

@GLA_Airport 22 June 1974 Bishopbriggs High School Plane Spotters Club visited Air Traffic Control. As a 12 year old I found it fascinating that staff didn't watch through the windows as the planes landed.
