Hi, guys. I’m calling time on the latest Olympiad. We’ve been getting as few as 2 votes on some days, which makes it difficult to keep it going. I’ll take a bit of a break and look to bring something new back in the future. But for now, the Teacher Films Olympiad comes to an end.

@RachelOrr Yes, I think the list is gold for those of us who are (or were) a part of the teaching profession. But, for some reason, people just aren't engaging with this Olympiad. I'll make the next one more generic and see what happens. I'll let the dust settle first though.

@TeachFMaths That's a great shame because there have been some incredible films but as you've said, many people probably don't even know them. It's not all about action heroes, animations and special effects overload. Their loss.

@RachelOrr I agree, but 2 votes is unsustainable anyway. I think it might be time to pull the plug on this Olympiad.

@TeachFMaths I am so sad as I thought I had voted for Fame. Far superior.

@TeachFMaths I would go so far as to say it happened on each side of the bracket. The Great Debaters vs Detachment (not quite guaranteed quarterfinal, but likely) To Sir With Love vs Goodbye, Mr. Chips (definite quarterfinal and likely semifinal) OK, so I have no idea why people aren’t voting
