@hicknell I refer to it as a Wizard of Oz experience. You had an opportunity to see behind the curtain. Moment of disappointment when the realization hits. Your students will be lucky to have you back where the true magic happens.

Spending a lot of time reflecting as 5 years in a central role comes to a close. There were glimmers where I believed we were on the cusp of transformational change, but in the end it's clear to me all the talk about reimagining the system is simply performance. 1/

@barnettkm7 @tvdsbmathk8 Thank you! This particular set included process charts for how to add, how to subtract, and how to find the difference with parts whole and a numberline. The ring allows us to add to it as we cover the curriculum.

Game changers! This is the greatest tool - the independence these support is astounding. This was a big aha moment for me as a teacher and will support the use of personal anchor charts for as many kids as I can. @tvdsbmathk8 #cmstsinaction

@SFL2326 My junior high in New Brunswick, Canada had to do this when I was a student there. From a student perspective, it worked and I appreciated the lack of chaos. The only negative was having a class next door to the left and the inconvenience of getting there via the journey right

1/ Our corridors echo with silence as students transition in single file, on the left and facing forward. Punctuality is impeccable; truancy is nonexistent. Leaving early passes are unnecessary. The lines provide structure and guidance.

@awesomelab644 Yes!!! This. And it isn’t equitable. Secondary schools can often have students do the busy work required for certification documentation. It’s just me at my elementary level school. I could only accomplish it the years our board provided OT coverage to work on the application
