the purple hearts hype is a prime example of how most people consume media without using any critical thinking because that movie has some AWFUL lines yet everyone is willing to overlook them because the leads are good looking and that’s truly just terrifying

The Republican governor of Arizona has signed a bill that makes it illegal to record cops after they if they tell you to stop. Once again trying to stop police violence is met with a harsher consequence than the police violence itself.

this is another case that will highly affect families and parents. like roe v wade, it will steal bodily autonomy and the freedom that indigenous peoples deserve.

icwa gives indigenous peoples jurisdiction over their own children, which prevents these children from being stolen and placed in non-indigenous homes. if icwa is overturned, indigenous children will once again be at risk of being separated from their families and cultures.

in october of this year, the supreme court will hear brackeen v haaland, a case designed to overturn the indian children welfare act (icwa) which was established in 1978.

roe v wade has been overtaking the media recently, causing a ton of outrage and backlash, which is great. however, the supreme court is quietly planning another, just as horrible, ruling. the only difference is that this one is going to receive a lot less media attention.

So police spotted the vehicle, a short pursuit ensued and they managed to arrest him, a mass shooter, and take him in alive without firing 90 bullets…interesting
