CROSS COUNTRY | Dallas St. Mark's and Houston St. John's are favorites for the boys in SPC 4A this year. What about the girls? Houston Awty International School and The Woodlands John Cooper move up to 4A, while Austin St. Stephen's moves down to 3A. Taking the top times from last year's state championship meets of returning runners, assuming no transfers in or out, here's who is expected to be upfront this year. Based on the top returners, Bellaire Episcopal would win the meet with a score of 53 points. John Cooper would be second with 58 followed by St. John's with 63 and Duchesne with 80.

CROSS COUNTRY | The Southwest Preparatory Conference sees Austin St. Stephen's Episcopal School move down to 3A and San Antonio TMI Episcopal and Saint Mary's Hall are new additions, joining from TAPPS. Taking the top times from last year's state championship meets of returning runners (both SPC and the TAPPS meets from '25), assuming no transfers in or out, here's who is expected to be upfront this year. If you were to run a meet off of last year's state meet, with these returnees, Austin St. Andrew's would win with 55 points, San Antonio TMI Episcopal would be second with 57, followed by Irving Cistercian and Austin St. Andrew's Episcopal with 73 and 74 points, respectively.
