@BlueShieldCA The steps it takes to get medication for my type 1 child is absolutely ridiculous. Everytime we try to do a refill we have to jump through hoops. His diagnosis is not going to change. He needs insulin to survive. Why would we have to prove it’s medically necessary?

It is amazing that a company is large as @BlueShieldCA can have a broken provider lookup for customers through their website, that has been dysfunctional for over two weeks, for which I have filed multiple reports on, and yet nobody at the company seems competent to address it.

Wtf is going on? I went to the emergency room on 12/31/25, and my insurance @BlueShieldCA denied my claim as well. I pay for insurance every month and for them to deny my claim for an emergency room visit is just B.S. Something needs to be done.

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

More lies @BlueShieldCA you won’t even pay for a doctor to review my MRI to determine if I need surgery. Im moving out of California, my doctor writes prescriptions for 90 days of medication and you refuse, only 30 days! Gotts make sure I have more co-pays and headaches to deal with. Then my case manager to ‘help me’. I’ve never even spoken to her she doesn’t return phone calls or emails.

@mcuban I don’t hate it. Anything is better than what we have now. I literally just paid for MRI out of pocket even though I pay over $800 mo for @BlueShieldCA bronze ins. Cash price for MRI was $1,450. Insurance cost $6,500. Insane!

What if there was a bank account available, that required you to deposit monthly, what you would have paid an insurance company in premiums, for an ACA silver plan. So for a family of 5 about $2100. The amount would then be used for Stop Loss Insurance set at $30k dollars. About $300. Another $200 would be used for local Direct Primary Care for your family The balance would be in YOUR bank account. Like an HSA, It could only be used for approved medical expenses. If you never have any medical expenses, you will get to keep the money plus checking act level interest, when you turn 65 If you have a medical event that is more than what you have saved, your bank will loan you the money you need to pay for it, up to the $30k stop loss trigger You would repay that amount using the monthly $1600 net deposit. Once the loan is paid off, the deposits start to accrue to you again. This is not insurance. It’s a specially designed bank account that gives you control, support, a doctor to work with and catastrophic financial protection. Lots of work and issues to be addressed. But I was curious what people think Let me know !

The one debt you can’t ever pay off ? Your insurance premiums. You literally will pay an insurance premium monthly, till you die. But we don’t look at it like it’s a debt paid to an insurance company that will do all it possibly can never spend it on your care. We are working on a non -insurance solution. Extremely poor customer service from @BlueShieldCA. Have been waiting to hear back on a claims audit we initiated late last year and ZERO response. We've called dozens of times and get jerked around. Healthcare should not be this difficult.

Virtual care? Like the “case manager” who is supposed to help me get the medical care you’ve dodged providing for six months? My case manager who hasn’t returned an email or a phone call for months then sends a BS letter that she’s been unable to reach me? Luigi Mangioni is innocent. You intentionally deny your subscribers much needed healthcare. You would much rather we die than get much needed healthcare. You are horrible people. The only thing that works on the website is autopay.
