🇦🇺 Cameron Myers, who won the Australian cross country national championship 10K race in Canberra last month but opted to contest the mixed 4x2K relay, has withdrawn from World Cross Country Championships due to medical reasons. He will be replaced by Jack Anstey. The relay will feature Jess Hull, Olli Hoare and Linden Hall. Hoare and Hull were part of the team that earned a bronze in the mixed relay at the 2023 World XC Championships in Bathurst.

The 2026 Prefontaine Classic was originally set to just be a one-day meet on July 4th but organizers have announced that it will now be two days – Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.
The exact disciplines and the full two-day schedule will be released later on.
The 2025 Pre Classic was the highest-scoring single-day meet with 98,121 points via World Athletics' Competition Performance Rankings and highlighted by world records by Beatrice Chebet and Faith Kipyegon.
The 2023 edition of the Pre Classic was the highest competition performance score ever recorded by World Athletics when it was a two-day event and doubled as the Diamond League final.

Olympic, World, and NCAA champion Aaliyah Butler has officially signed with @Nike. Butler owns a personal best of 49.09 and was a semifinalist in the 400m at this past World Championships. She won Olympic and World Championship gold medals as part of Team USA’s 4x400m relay team. “Going pro is a blessing, and I’m forever grateful to the University of Georgia, Coach Karim, and Coach Caryl for believing in me and helping shape the athlete and woman I’ve become.
