Q4: In some countries, limits exist on how long preserved tissue can be stored. Is this the case in your region, and if yes, is the limit based on patient age or time of storage? What are the medical, biological and social arguments for and against such limits? #ESHREjc

@SofiaMakieva The evidence indicates that natural conception in cancer survivors is in general safe, with no detrimental effects in overall survival. If the woman has cryopreserved material, it is safe to use it also with increasing data in recent years.

Q3: A woman who underwent FP procedures due to cancer treatment is now seeking to conceive. Between 📌spontaneous conception 📌fresh ART cycle and 📌ART using FP material, which is the ‘safest’ for her👩🏻 and her offspring👶🏻? Is there enough evidence to argue either? #ESHREjc

@TillemanKelly @SCobanMune This is a bit outside #ESHREjc as the guideline does not cover the case of children. However in females the follicles are formed and the eggs are there, and methods for ov tissue cryo exist. The cryopreservation should be performed under ethics board approval in these cases.
