@DefenseNigeria None of these conflicts was won by the kinetic force of the military. The Nigerians government had to compromise big time for peace to reign in the Niger delta.

Imagine if Nigeria were to have an uninterrupted period of 20 years of peace and stability. Since the return to democracy in 1999, Nigeria has only had four years of relative peace without conflict. From the early 2000s, Nigeria has dealt with Niger Delta militancy, religious riots, farmers herders conflicts, the Boko Haram insurgency, ISWAP, armed banditry and now threats from the Sahel region with shifting militant activities from ISIS/Al-Qaeda affiliates and extremist groups in Mali and Burkina Faso. It’s a testament to the Nigerian military’s ability to hold the fort. This level of sustained conflict would have broken most nations.

@Pressman2040 What has the Nigerian army done for them? How long has the check point been set up and how effective has it been. There is no accountability anywhere in Nigeria.

@Millishield01 Well, it starts with the leaders, they don't want to be accountable in anyway, so how do you expect a commoner to be accountable? It wasn't this bad 3 decades ago, but people realized that cutting corner bears no consequences in Nigeria.

You are joking 🙃 if you ever think we will ever have a Nigeria of our dreams without having a deliberate efforts in place to change peoples mind sets from corruption and corrupt practices. This is what is setting us back.

Nope they are not a reflection of who we are actually. I have lived long enough to see how government policies and mismanagement shaped the mindset of the populace. So you are telling me that you as a Nigerian support the killing of Nigerians by terrorists? You mean if you have the means, you won't put an end to terrorism in Nigeria?

Why are Young Nigerians tribalistic? It honestly doesn’t even make sense to me. You’d think it wouldn’t be possible in this day and age. We used to make excuses for our parents and elders because they grew up in a different time, but this is 2026. How are people in their 20s and 30s still thinking like this? Howwwww? What happened?
